Dr. Solhjoo received his D.M.D. degree from the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine in 1997. During his years of practice, Dr. Solhjoo has gained experience in adhesive dentistry, implant surgery, aesthetic dentistry, periodontics, and endodontics. His dedication to excellent quality care and continuing his education exemplifies his mission to provide the best possible care for his patients. Dr. Solhjoo is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Connecticut State Dental Association, and the Greater Waterbury Dental Society. His passion to further his education persisted when completed his F.A.G.D., Fellowship of the American Academy of General Dentistry in 2013. The award is presented to dentists who work to provide the highest quality of dental care by keeping up with new happenings in their profession. He completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive exam, and fulfilled three years of continuous membership with the academy to keep up with current trends. “We are proud to honor Dr. Solhjoo for his commitment to the profession,” Academy of General Dentistry president Linda J. Edgar said, “He has distinguished himself professionally amongst his peers and is a role model for both fellow dentists and community members of Waterbury.” In addition to spending time with his wife, 2 daughters, and granddaughter, Dr. Solhjoo also enjoys traveling, fishing, and playing golf.
