Dr. Laura A. Dougherty was inspired to become a dentist after her own dentists improved her smile and gave her confidence as a child. Her goal in life is to do the same for her patients. Ensuring that her patients are receiving the best dental care they can while staying comfortable and confident is the most rewarding aspect of her career.

Dr. D attended the University of Delaware and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology in 2001. She then went to the University of Maryland’s Baltimore College of Dental Surgery where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 2006. Afterwards, she completed a general practice residency program with Christiana Care. Once she completed her education, Dr. D became a practicing dentist and worked for 11 years before opening Dougherty Dental Solutions in 2018.

Toady, Dr. D is a member of the Delaware State Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the Delaware Academy of General Dentistry.
