Doctors Network

Residents of New Jersey know about closeness. Though the state takes up less than 9,000 square miles, it is home to over 8.9 million people, giving it the highest population density in the country (over 1,000 people per square mile). As the only state whose cities are all classified as metropolitan areas, residents of New Jersey know that taking good care of themselves is especially important to maintaining a healthy quality of life. For many people, the high costs of dental health care can make that challenging, but with the help of Doctors Network, local dentists can now mitigate that challenge for all New Jersey families. Through Doctors Network, patients can sign up for direct dental plans that, unlike insurance, can guarantee significant discounts on every treatment and procedure that their dentists offer.

For most residents in New Jersey, dental insurance can help keep the costs of routine preventive care manageable, depending on the specifics of their plan. However, for those with inadequate insurance coverage, as well as for the 10% of residents who have no insurance at all, dental health care costs can quickly add up, especially when cosmetic, restorative, or prosthetic procedures are required. Direct dental plans from Doctors Network are designed to supplement existing insurance plans, or to provide an alternative for patients who do not have insurance. The plans ensure that all patients can receive the quality care they deserve at much more reasonable prices. For instance, checkups and cleanings are only $25 per visit, including X-rays when needed, as well as up to 90% discounts on all other services, such as fillings, crowns, dental implants, Invisalign® clear braces, and more.

I’ve felt welcome every time I’ve been back to Radiance Dental for an appointment with Dr. Murphy. She is amazing. She truly cares about her patients. Lately, I’ve been to another dentist in the area. His service was okay but now as good as Dr. Murphy’s care. The receptionist is great too. Overall, Radiance Dental is fantastic!

Dr. Patoliya and his staff at Advanced Dental Designs are amazing! One of the staff members even drove me to and from my osseous surgery! During the operation I had a few days ago, everything went as planned. I felt little to no pain because they gave me anesthesia, and they made sure I stayed warm during the whole surgery. You can tell Dr. Patoliya really cares about his patients. He even met me at the office on a weekend to look at my gum when I thought my gums separated from the stitches (thankfully, it was just a blood clot). If you are in need of periodontal work and live in the Philadelphia area, I highly recommend you go see him!

Root canal therapy, also known as RCT, is a dental service performed to treat infections or damage within the pulp chamber of a tooth. The pulp is the tissue located inside the tooth, and it contains nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissues. When the pulp tissue becomes infected or inflamed due to tooth decay, trauma, or other factors, a root canal treatment may be needed to save the tooth and eliminate pain. Here is how a root canal treatment is performed: 1. Diagnosis and Examination: The first step of the root canal treatment is a complete examination by a general dentist or an endodontist. This typically entails taking X-rays to evaluate the extent of the infection and determine if a root canal is actually needed. Symptoms that may signal the need for a root canal include severe toothache, sensitivity to hot and cold, swelling of the gums or face, or a pimple-like bump on the gum adjacent to the tooth. 2. Local Anesthesia: Before beginning the treatment, the dentist will inject local anesthesia to numb the infected tooth and surrounding soft tissues. This ensures that the patient stays comfortable throughout the treatment. 3. Accessing the Pulp: Once the tooth is numbed, the endodontist will drill a small hole in the top of the tooth, called an access, to reach the infected or inflamed pulp tissue. This allows the dentist to remove the diseased pulp and clean the root canals. 4. Cleaning and Shaping the Root Canals: Using specialized tools, the dentist will remove the infected or damaged pulp from the root canals. The canals are cleaned and shaped to remove the remaining bacteria, debris, and infection. Irrigation with antimicrobial solutions will then disinfect the canals. 5. Filling the Root Canals: After all the canals have been cleaned and shaped (widened), they are filled with a bio-compatible filling material called gutta-percha. This seals off the canals to prevent re-contamination and provides protection for the tooth structure. 6. Sealing the Access Cavity: After the root canals have been filled, the access cavity is covered with a temporary or permanent filling materials to prevent bacteria and debris from entering it and causing an infection. 7. Restoration: Sometimes, a tooth that has undergone root canal therapy may need additional restoration, such as a dental crown (cap), to protect and restore the tooth function. A dental crown is placed on the tooth to restore its natural appearance and functionality. Root canal treatment is very successful in saving teeth that might otherwise need to be extracted because of the infection of the pulp. With proper maintenance and good oral hygiene, a tooth that has gotten a root canal can function normally for years or even decades, allowing patients to preserve their natural smiles.

It was so easy to find a doctor and make an appointment. I didn't have to take hours to call different offices and find out who takes my insurance and who doesn't.

I'm a freelancer, so I can't buy insurance easily, so I always ended up paying a lot for doctors' visits. I signed up for a Doctors Network dental plan, and my dental cleanings cost only $25 now. If you don't have dental insurance I highly recommend it.

I fell off my bike and chipped my front tooth. I was able to find and book an appointment online right away. Next time I need an appointment I'll try Doctors Network again.
