Doctors Network

It has been said that if you stretched Wisconsin’s 7,446 miles of streams and rivers end to end, they could circle the globe at the equator. In addition, the state also boasts five state parks and over 250 miles of shoreline along Lake Michigan. Wisconsin’s impressive natural beauty is just one of the state’s many wonders, and only one reason why residents and tourists alike love the Badger State. Now, families have even more reason to love Wisconsin with direct dental plans from Doctors Network. Offered directly through dentists’ offices in Wisconsin, direct dental plans can help the state’s over 5.7 million residents save on all of their dental health care costs. Because the plan works separately from insurance, patients are eligible to join whether or not they already have existing coverage.

With less than 6.6% of people in Wisconsin uncovered by insurance, Wisconsin’s uninsured population is lower than most other states. Yet, even with insurance, many patients are surprised to learn that their coverage doesn’t adequately cover many of the treatments they need or want. Some plans leave people with high out-of-pocket expenses that they cannot afford, rendering the insurance plan useless. With Doctors Network, there are no surprises. The plan covers every treatment that your dentist offers, and follows a predetermined fee schedule that does not change without notice. Regular checkup and cleaning appointments are only $25 per visit, including X-rays, while other treatments (such as fillings, root canal therapy, dental crowns, implants, and more) will always be discounted, sometimes by up to 90%. Everyone can qualify for a direct dental plan regardless of age or the state of their current dental health.

Who is Dr. Russell Grimm DDS?

Dr. Russell Grimm serves as a partner and general dentist at our office in Madison, proudly continuing a family tradition in dentistry as a second-generation dentist. Before transitioning to dentistry, he spent three years as an engineering consultant, where he developed a strong appreciation for advanced technology. This background has enabled him to excel in dental implant procedures, particularly in CT-guided surgery, allowing him to engineer healthy and aesthetically pleasing smiles.

Dr. Grimm's true passion lies in helping patients replace their missing teeth through dental implants, having successfully placed over 400 implants in his career. He has also mastered guided same-day tooth replacement, offering solutions for everything from individual teeth to full arches. Furthermore, he is one of the few dentists in our office skilled in both Invisalign and ClearCorrect orthodontic systems.

When he’s not perfecting smiles, Dr. Grimm enjoys outdoor adventures with his wife and their five active children. His love for the great outdoors includes biking, fishing, skiing, camping, and archery. An Eagle Scout himself, he has been deeply involved in scouting, particularly supporting his son’s Boy Scout Troop, and he continues to be an advocate for local scouting efforts.

My Granddaughter needs a lot of dental work. Her teeth are actually rotting away. She is 23 and has no insurance. But she could possibly pay out of pocket like a payment plan. She is getting married in April and she needs something done soon.

What is dental cleaning?

If you take good care of your teeth, you may be wondering why your dentist says you need this appointment every 6 months. There are several dental problems that you may miss at an early stage. They may not cause any pain, and may not demonstrate any visible signs. However, a dental prophylaxis appointment (teeth cleaning visit) can help your dentist diagnose these dental problems at an early stage. The term dental cleaning (prophylaxis) encompasses several techniques that are used by most dental personnel to professionally remove plaque, stain, and calculus (tartar) from patients’ teeth. Oftentimes, the toothbrush coronal polish (i.e. toothbrush and toothpaste) is a procedure that is used to remove plaque from teeth surfaces and demonstrate brushing techniques to caregivers for young kids and for patients with special needs who cannot tolerate using a rubber cup. The rubber cup coronal polish is a treatment in which a dental polishing paste is rubbed onto tooth surfaces with a rotary bristle brush or rotary rubber cup to remove plaque and stains from your teeth. Dental scaling is a procedure where hand or ultrasonic instruments are used to remove calculus or tartar and stains. Full mouth debridement may be needed as a preliminary treatment for those patients whose medical, psychological, physical, or periodontal conditions result in calculus accumulation beyond the scope of routine prophylaxis (regular teeth cleanings). These procedures expedite the clinical examination and introduce dental services to the patient. Also, the accompanying preventive appointment demonstrates proper oral hygiene techniques to the patient and/or caregivers. Flossing is an essential part of the prophylaxis that removes interproximal and subgingival (under the gum) plaque, aiding in educating the patient and enhancing the oral examination.

It was so easy to find a doctor and make an appointment. I didn't have to take hours to call different offices and find out who takes my insurance and who doesn't.

I'm a freelancer, so I can't buy insurance easily, so I always ended up paying a lot for doctors' visits. I signed up for a Doctors Network dental plan, and my dental cleanings cost only $25 now. If you don't have dental insurance I highly recommend it.

I fell off my bike and chipped my front tooth. I was able to find and book an appointment online right away. Next time I need an appointment I'll try Doctors Network again.
