In the Hoosier state, a smile is everything. When you greet your neighbors, go to the grocery store, attend a PTA meeting, or do a presentation at work, a good smile and a friendly wave are your best introductions. But what happens when your smile isn’t looking or feeling its best? Oftentimes, people who experience oral health issues, such as tooth loss or gum disease, can’t smile due to pain or discomfort. They may also choose not to smile due to issues with self-consciousness. Without a pearly white smile, a Hoosier just isn’t the same! The good thing is that maintaining and improving your oral health is simple; a good daily routine and frequent visits to your dentist can make a dull smile bright. So embrace that Hoosier spirit and schedule your next dentist appointment today!

More than half of Indiana’s farmland, in a typical year, is planted in corn, making Indiana one of the biggest producers of corn in the world! Unfortunately, corn isn’t great for your oral health. Besides getting stuck in your teeth, eating corn on the cob is known to dislodge fillings, damage braces, and chip teeth! Popcorn, too, can get lodged between your teeth, leading to cavities and gum disease. Sweet corn can even wear away your enamel, leading to tooth discoloration. Despite all that, there’s no way we’ll stop eating corn! It’s just too darn tasty. So, taking care of our teeth and gums is vitally important! Whether or not you’re eating corn, always remember to brush and floss twice a day, balance your fluoride intake, and visit your dentist at least twice a year. For more information on maintaining and improving your oral health, contact your dentist.

t

Dental implants are used to replace missing teeth, and they can last for many decades with proper oral hygiene. They are made from titanium alloys, which does not contain nickel and cobalt. This means that they are biocompatible and will not irritate gums. These tooth implants restore tooth functions and aesthetics and promote bone preservation and healing. If you are missing one or multiple of your teeth, dental implants can be the best option. They can also help people who have difficulties masticating, speaking, breathing, and swallowing. Implants can be used to improve patients' oral health, appearance, and quality of life. Implants are false teeth replacements that attach to the gum and bone tissue by means of screws or crowns. The screw is inserted into the jawbone. The crown is attached onto the implant. It is then capped with either a porcelain or porcelain fused to metal crown. There are different kinds of dental implants. Some are more longer lasting while others are less durable. There are two main types of dental implants: the Osseointegrated Dental Implants, and the Endosteal Dental Implants. • Osseointegrated implants use bone to connect to the implant. • Endosteal Implants rely on a separate crown and Artificial Bone. Osseointegrated Dental Implants are popular since they are more effective at restoring teeth that have been lost. They are stronger and look more natural looking than an endosteal implants. The titanium-ceramic dental implants are made of pure Titanium with an outer ceramic or porcelain coat. These implants can replace a single tooth or be used to support implant supported dentures. The titanium-zirconium implants ore dental implants are made using both zirconium and titanium oxide. There are other types of dental implants each designed to serve a specific purpose.

It was so easy to find a doctor and make an appointment. I didn't have to take hours to call different offices and find out who takes my insurance and who doesn't.

I'm a freelancer, so I can't buy insurance easily, so I always ended up paying a lot for doctors' visits. I signed up for a Doctors Network dental plan, and my dental cleanings cost only $25 now. If you don't have dental insurance I highly recommend it.

I fell off my bike and chipped my front tooth. I was able to find and book an appointment online right away. Next time I need an appointment I'll try Doctors Network again.
