Dr. Lorie Hodd believes that being a dentist also means being a lifelong learner. She completed her BS degree and DDS degree with honors in 1987 from the University of Minnesota. She then completed extensive postgraduate training at the L.D. Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida, where she specialized in TMJ treatment modalities and Comprehensive Full Mouth Reconstruction. She became a practicing dentist soon after but never stopped learning. When she is not in the office, Dr. Hodd is completing a continuing education course, ensuring that she stays at the forefront of modern dental technologies and treatments. She is also an active member of the Minneapolis District Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Brian T. Evensen has been a co-owner of Valley Dental Group with Drs. Hoover, Anderson, and Norsted since September 1996. When he is not working with patients, Dr. Evensen can be found giving part-time instruction to dental students at his alma mater, the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He is also a member of the Minneapolis District Dental Society, the Northside Dental Society, the Minnesota Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Aleksandr Shibko has completed advanced post-graduate courses in numerous areas of modern dentistry and cutting-edge technologies. Dr. Azimi attended the University of Tehran Medical Sciences in Iran where he earned his first DDS degree in 2012. He was then accepted into an advanced program at the University of Minnesota’s School of Dentistry. He has been a practicing dentist since graduating.

Dr. Kristin Schroeder is a dentist with Fifth Avenue Dental who specializes in all areas of dentistry and has a special interest in esthetics. She earned her undergraduate degree from St. Cloud State University and then graduated from the University of Minnesota Dental School in 1994. She joined her practice soon after.

After completion of her graduate program, Dr. Schroeder completed the University’s Postgraduate Program in Esthetic Dentistry.
