The staff at Dr. Petersen is the best. I never have to wait when I come in, and the procedures are always thorough but fast. They’re a pretty busy place, but they keep things moving, which is nice. I’ve been a patient here since they opened, and I’ve always had an enjoyable experience. I’ve recommended them to all my friends, they’re the best dental office in Leawood, Kansas. A lot of my friends love this place too. The entire staff is kind and really cares about their patients. I’ve had cleanings, new caps, new white fillings, and root canals done here, and everything has always looked great. Thank you, Dr. Petersen.

dental-implants-or-bridge

As adolescents, we lose our primary teeth as a natural part of growing up. However, in adulthood, losing teeth is caused by oral health issues. Periodontal disease is the number one cause. Since losing teeth at adulthood isn’t natural, this means issues with smile stability. You could have problems with nutritional intake. Problems speaking clearly may develop. Finally, you could risk damages to your smile, or even your facial structure. You need an awesome private dentist in Excelsior Springs, MO who can correct your tooth loss. Fortunately, Doctors Network can help you on the road to a full smile.

First, we will help connect you to a skilled dentist near you. After that, your new dentist can evaluate your smile to understand the factors behind your missing teeth. For minor cases, a dental bridge could be placed, providing lifelike results. For several gaps, partials could offer a solution and rebuild your smile. Finally, a complete denture could be custom-made. While most fulls and partials are removable, they could be supported with tooth implants. Dental implants essentially look and function like natural teeth, and prevent negative changes to your alveolar bone and facial structure following tooth loss.

If you live in the Excelsior Springs‘s proximity and have lost your natural teeth, let us know. We can get you started on receiving the tooth replacement you need. A full smile is possible, even if you’ve suffered complete tooth loss, and even if many years have elapsed since that happened!

P. S. Please celebrate our dentists in Nashville, TN with us this week.

sleep-apnea-treatment

When you have a sleep disorder, you may not assume a dentist could help. But in fact, dentists can provide a comfortable solution to stop nighttime airway obstruction. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) means that as you sleep, the soft tissues in the throat and the tissues around the throat collapse and cause you to stop breathing. Patients literally stop breathing briefly until the brain alerts the body to resume breathing. Even if you believe you slept well, you could feel tired! But when should you talk to Doctors Network to find Excelsior Springs, MO dentists who provide treatment options?

Sings of OSA could include chronic snoring. Daytime drowsiness, headaches, and even trouble with interpersonal relationships could be factors too. Without treatment, OSA could even affect your immune system and increase the risk of high blood pressure. When you experience similar signs, consider seeing a dental professional. Sometimes, oral appliance therapy can be used to keep air passages clear while you sleep, so you can finally rest without sleep apnea symptoms.

This week we are celebrating our dental practices in New York.

As children, many of us grind our teeth for short periods of time. The issue tends to pass on its own. But for some, bruxism could mean chronic teeth grinding into and throughout adulthood, and the pressure from clenching and grinding your teeth could injure your teeth. Cracks, chips, and worn-down structures could change your appearance. You’re also more likely to develop tooth decay or even dental abscesses, which is why if you grind your teeth, you should consider using Doctors Network’s search tool to book an appointment with a dentist in Excelsior Springs.

Your significant other may let you know you grind your teeth in your sleep. Otherwise, symptoms could include toothaches and tooth sensitivity. Treatment options vary. Some dentists bring relief by addressing the oral health issues behind your bruxism. They could correct misalignment with orthodontics, or even replace missing teeth with dental implants. Many offer treatment with custom and comfortable occlusal splints. So don’t ignore these symptoms, talk to us about finding the right dentist in your area who accepts new patients.

You can’t put a price on showing off a perfect smile, but as we get older, many of us struggle with the loss of natural teeth. Missing teeth could lead to difficulty with eating and speaking, and can even lead to a prematurely aged appearance. To treat tooth loss, people often turn to dental implants. Unlike traditional prosthetics, such as bridges or removable dentures, these are connected to posts that act as new roots. Crowns or even prosthetics like dentures are locked into these implant posts. These then act as new roots, so your new teeth can last not ten years, but possibly a lifetime with proper care.

Are you ready to tackle your tooth loss with dental implants? If you are wondering how much a dental implant costs near Excelsior Springs, you are not alone, but first, you should find a Excelsior Springs dentist who can offer tooth replacement. Doctors Network can help you with this, connecting you to a dental office who not only can address your tooth loss, but also accepts patients without dental insurance. Same-day appointments are usually available. You can even sign up for a Doctors Network dental plan to decrease the cost of your treatment.

The dentist will take a close look at your smile. Underlying issues such as periodontitis may need to be addressed before moving forward. But once completed, your dental implants will offer replacement teeth that look and function like natural teeth!

Missouri is the birthplace of America’s 33rd president, Harry Truman, and home to the nation’s largest beer brewery, Anheuser-Busch. Yet, it is perhaps more well-known for the St. Louis World’s Fair of 1904, which reportedly introduced most of the American foods we know and love today, including hot dogs, ice cream cones, Dr. Pepper, and much more. Today, the Show Me State is home to nearly 6.1 million residents, all of whom deserve to enjoy the benefits of exceptional dental care without having to pay exorbitant out-of-pocket costs. To help them all receive that care, Doctors Network has partnered with dentists across the state to offer patients direct dental plans directly through their dentists’ offices.
