The staff at Dr. Petersen is the best. I never have to wait when I come in, and the procedures are always thorough but fast. They’re a pretty busy place, but they keep things moving, which is nice. I’ve been a patient here since they opened, and I’ve always had an enjoyable experience. I’ve recommended them to all my friends, they’re the best dental office in Leawood, Kansas. A lot of my friends love this place too. The entire staff is kind and really cares about their patients. I’ve had cleanings, new caps, new white fillings, and root canals done here, and everything has always looked great. Thank you, Dr. Petersen.

dental-implants-or-bridge

As kids, we lose our deciduous teeth over time. However, as adults, losing teeth means poor oral health. Periodontitis leads to major tooth loss. Since missing teeth at adulthood isn’t natural, this means oral health complications. You could have problems with nutritional intake. Problems articulating could occur. Finally, you could risk impacting your smile, or even smile’s stability. You need a professional and friendly private dentist in Lexington, MO who can correct your tooth loss. Fortunately, Doctors Network can help you on the road to a full smile.

First, we will connect you to a dentist near you. Once we do, your new dentist can inspect your smile to diagnose the conditions for your tooth loss. For less severe cases, a dental bridge could be placed, providing lifelike results. For several missing teeth, partial dentures could offer a solution and rebuild your smile. Finally, a complete denture could be custom-made. While most complete dentures and partial dentures are removable, they could be supported with tooth implants. Dental implants essentially look and function like natural teeth, and preserve bone density in your maxilla and mandible and facial structure following tooth loss.

If you live in the Lexington‘s neighborhoods and have unsightly gaps in your smile, let us help. We can help you get started on receiving the tooth replacement you need. Model-worthy teeth are within reach, even if you’ve suffered edentulism, and even if years have gone by since that happened!

P. S. Please celebrate our dental surgeons in Nashville, TN with us this week.

sleep-apnea-treatment

When you experience chronic snoring, you may not realize it, but a dentist near you could help. In fact, dentists can often provide a comfortable and noninvasive option to stop nighttime airway obstruction. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) means that as you sleep, the soft tissues in the throat and the tissues around the throat collapse and cut off airflow. Patients with OSA literally stop breathing for a few seconds until the brain alerts the body to resume breathing. Even as you believe you slept well, you could experience daytime drowsiness! But when is it necessary to talk to Doctors Network to find Lexington, MO dentists who could offer treatment with oral appliance therapy?

Symptoms of sleep apnea include loud and frequent snoring. Daytime drowsiness, headaches, and even trouble with interpersonal relationships could occur too. With no intervention, OSA could even affect your immune system and your cardiovascular health. When you experience similar symptoms, consider seeing a dental professional. Often, oral appliance therapy can be helpful to keep air passages clear while you sleep, so you can finally enjoy a good night’s rest.

This week we are honoring our dental care providers near New York.

tooth-bonding

If you have a broken tooth or one that is misshapen or stained, then you need dental treatment. With tooth reshaping and tooth-color fillings in Lexington, MO, these aesthetic imperfections can be corrected in only one sitting. At Doctors Network, we are here to help connect you with a dentist in Lexington, MO who accepts new patients and offers cosmetic dentistry. You may not believe just how much bonding and contouring can do in a single sitting.

Tooth-colored filling repairs esthetic concerns with composite resin materials. The material, a mix of glass and acrylic particles, is shaded and placed in several layers. Lexington general dentists also use this material to treat tooth decay. During contouring, the dentist simply sands and buffs the outer tooth surfaces to correct your damaged or malformed tooth.

Today we are honoring our Brooklyn cosmetic dentists. With both treatments, these dentists will be able to reshape malformed teeth, repair dental damage, mask unattractive teeth stains, and even close spaces between teeth.

When we are kids, many of us develop teeth grinding for short periods of time. The issue tends to be temporary. But for some, bruxism could mean chronic teeth grinding into and throughout adolescence, and the pressure from clenching your teeth could lead to major complications. Cracks, chips, and worn-down structures could leave your smile vulnerable. You’re also more likely to develop tooth decay or even dental abscesses, which is why if you notice changes to your teeth, you should consider using Doctors Network’s search tool to find a dentist in Lexington.

Your partner or spouse may let you know that you have bruxism when you sleep. Otherwise, symptoms could include jaw pain and tooth sensitivity. Treatment options vary. Some dentists bring relief by addressing the oral health issues behind your bruxism. They could correct misalignment with orthodontics, or even replace missing teeth with prosthetics. Many offer treatment with custom and comfortable occlusal night guards. So don’t ignore the indicators of bruxism, talk to us about finding the right dentist in your area who accepts new patients.

There is no substitute for an attractive smile, but as we age, most of us struggle with missing teeth. Missing teeth could lead to trouble with eating and speaking, and can even lead to bone loss in the jaw. To treat missing teeth, people often turn to implant-supported prosthetics. Unlike traditional prosthetics, such as dentures or fixed partial dentures, these are connected to posts that act as new roots. Crowns or even prosthetics like full and partial dentures are securely attached to these implant posts. These then act as new roots, so your new teeth can last not ten years, but far much longer with proper care.

Are you ready to address unsightly gaps with dental implants? If you want to know how much dental implants cost near Lexington, you are not alone, but firstly, you need to find a Lexington dentist who can offer surgical placement of dental implants. Doctors Network can help you with this, connecting you to a dentist who not only can address your concerns about missing teeth, but also works with patients without dental insurance. You can even sign up for a Doctors Network dental plan to decrease the cost of your procedure.

The dentist will carefully examine your smile. Underlying issues like gum disease may need to be addressed before moving forward. But once completed, your dental implants will offer replacement teeth that look and function like natural teeth!

Missouri is the birthplace of America’s 33rd president, Harry Truman, and home to the nation’s largest beer brewery, Anheuser-Busch. Yet, it is perhaps more well-known for the St. Louis World’s Fair of 1904, which reportedly introduced most of the American foods we know and love today, including hot dogs, ice cream cones, Dr. Pepper, and much more. Today, the Show Me State is home to nearly 6.1 million residents, all of whom deserve to enjoy the benefits of exceptional dental care without having to pay exorbitant out-of-pocket costs. To help them all receive that care, Doctors Network has partnered with dentists across the state to offer patients direct dental plans directly through their dentists’ offices.

Missouri is one of the nation’s friendliest places to raise a family, and boasts a relatively low cost of living coupled with a strong economy. However, dental health care costs can be a burden to families of all backgrounds and demographics, even when they have dental insurance coverage. The goal of Doctors Network is to help dentists across Missouri offer high-quality care directly to their patients, without the exorbitant extra costs that third-party insurance companies often tack on to their plans. With a direct dental plan, you only pay a small monthly fee, which your dentist will determine, to gain access to substantial savings on your dental health care. For instance, checkup and cleaning appointments only cost $25 per visit under the plan, and treatments such as teeth-whitening, dental fillings, crowns, Invisalign®, dental implants, and more will be significantly discounted—often by up to 90%!
