My family and I just moved to Philadelphia and needed a dentist. Based on some online research, I made my husband an emergency appointment at Smile Care Center, and I’m glad I did! He was amazed they got him in the same day when he told them he had horrible pain with a problematic tooth. I was able to go online and submit all the necessary documents before he even arrived. He said the office was up-to-date and that the staff was very welcoming. But he was even more impressed with Dr. Phillips and called him the best dentist ever! He even asked if they see kids as our son would also need a dentist eventually. My husband did need a tooth extraction, unfortunately. But Dr. Phillips gave him his options and then told him what he would need in the near future. We love Smile Care Center and strongly recommend this dental office!

No one I know really enjoys going to the dentist, but I actually look forward to my visits at Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA! The office is gorgeous, organized, and up-to-date. They have top-of-the-line technology and amazing staff. Though they can do just about any cosmetic dental procedure, Dr. Phillips never pressures me into anything I don’t want to do. They answer any questions you have - again, no pressure. I always have a big smile on my face when I leave (pun intended)!

When you walk into Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA, you almost forget you’re at the dentist! The staff treats you like an old friend, and the atmosphere is very soothing, almost like a spa. The staff, including Dr. Phillips, is incredible! I just wished I had found them sooner!

Though I’ve never had more than a filling before, I needed a root canal, so this was a whole new experience for me. Smile Care Center was very clean, and everyone was kind. The assistant explained everything thoroughly and took my x-rays. Dr. Phillips walked me through my x-rays and told me he had talked to my general dentist twice since I scheduled my appointment. He was well prepared and super careful, and I didn’t even feel the numbing shot! It was incredible! They frequently asked if I was okay during the procedure and explained what they were doing. When they were finished, he showed me the last x-ray. He even gave me a call a few days afterward to make sure I was doing okay. So if you ever need to get a root canal, I highly suggest you call Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA!

Dr. Phillips and his dental team at Smile Care Center in Philadelphia are just amazing, and the root canal they did went smoothly! I actually work for a general dentist, and even though the doctors I work with do some root canals, they still refer the difficult cases to an endodontist. And even though I’ve never even had a cavity, mine was a difficult case! I was anxious, but given my line of work, I was looking for a specialist that advocated for patient comfort and was careful. Dr. Phillips was awesome - he always made sure I was okay during the procedure. And he gave me flavored laughing gas to help calm my nerves. The appointments didn’t take long either. They got me out the door pretty quickly, which I know isn’t always an easy task when it comes to root canals. Long story short, if you need a fantastic dentist, go see Dr. Phillips!

Dr. Phillips and his staff at Smile Care Center in Philadelphia are fantastic! My pre-teen daughter has been going to him for more than two years because she hasn’t been losing teeth like a kid should, so her other dentist referred us to an orthodontist because they said her mouth might be too small for her adult teeth. He said she would likely need some teeth pulled and possibly have expanders installed, which they call phase 1 of 2. I’ve heard of some dentists pushing this procedure too early, resulting in unnecessary (and expensive) bills or even problems later on for the child. So we ended up going to Dr. Phillips for a second opinion. He decided that she doesn’t need to have that procedure done quite yet and will continue to check her mouth every 6 months free of charge. I trust Dr. Phillip’s judgment and am so glad we went to him. I won’t take my daughter to any other dentist!

I’ve been going to Dr. Phillips for a few years, and I can honestly say that he’s incredible. I actually love seeing the dental hygienist, who always does a fantastic job cleaning my teeth. The office is very comfortable and soothing, and everyone seems very kind. Two thumbs up for Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA!

I’m kind of shocked Dr. Phillips at Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA doesn’t have more reviews! He’s been my dentist for a long time even though I now live about an hour away. I haven’t had luck finding a good dentist, and now that I found Dr. Phillips, I’m not going anywhere. He truly loves what he does and it shows through his amazing quality of work. In addition, his staff is so sweet! Highly recommended!

I’ve been going to the same dentist since I was a kid, and now that I’m middle aged, I was nervous about finding a new dentist. But Dr. Phillips at Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA is great. He had high expectations to meet, but he did so with flying colors. I feel just as good around him as I did with my childhood dentist. I also love chatting with the hygienist; she’s so great!

Dr. Phillips and his dental team are amazing. I’ve been going to them since they opened. They’re always very nice and supportive and they make scheduling and remembering appointments a breeze. They do my routine cleanings, including x-rays, and they’ve filled a cavity for me. It’s always been a good experience. They practice prevention first, so they are always telling me ways I can keep my teeth healthy. I strongly suggest Smile Care Center in Philadelphia to anyone who needs a great dentist. I will be back!

I’ve lived in many places, but Dr. Phillips is the best dentist I’ve ever had. His hygienists are gentle when they clean your teeth, and he keeps detailed records of your appointments. He even referred me to a specialist to fix a recession in my mouth, and the prices are very competitive. Scheduling an appointment is simple, and there’s enough parking space for everyone. The office is sanitary and looks beautiful. I strongly recommend Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA to everyone!

Dr. Phillips at Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA is the best dentist ever. I hate going to the dentist, but Dr. Phillips and his staff always make me feel comfortable. They’re highly skilled, genuine, and considerate. They have top-of-the-line technology and help me keep my teeth healthy. I recommend all my family and friends to him, and I always will!

Today was my first dental appointment in five years. I know my teeth were in rough shape, and I was rather embarrassed and very anxious. But Dr. Phillips and his team of receptionists, assistants, and hygienists made me feel relaxed. They tried to make it as painless and shameless as possible. As I expected, I need some work done, so I scheduled an appointment for next week. The staff is so supportive. Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA is now my go-to dentist even though he isn’t in network with my insurance. If you are afraid of the dentist, go to Dr. Phillips - he’ll calm your nerves!

I really hate going to the dentist. I have not gone for 10 years because I’m scared of dentists, but when I turned 35, I knew I needed to get my teeth cleaned. Smile Care Center (in Philadelphia, PA) appeared to be the best dentist near me, so I decided to go to them. When reviewers said it’s the best, trust me, it is! When I walked in, the receptionist said hello. She was super sociable and knew all about insurance, thank goodness. Then I met the hygienist, who asked me if I needed anything and tried to make me feel comfortable. I wasn’t sure if I was at the dentist or the spa, and it really doesn’t get any better than that! She did a great job on my cleaning, and I then I leave feeling great. But then a few weeks go by, and my crown comes out, so I make another appointment where I met Dr. Phillips. He was very kind and walked me through the procedure of replacing my crown. A few weeks later, I go back for the permanent crown. They took excellent care of me and made me feel calm. This dental team has helped with my fear of dentists and have made my dental experiences a lot more positive. I suggest you check them out!
Danielle K.
I’m amazed by how hard Dr. Phillips and his staff at Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA try to make you feel relaxed. I needed 2 hours worth of dental work, and they gave me some medication to make me as calm as possible during the procedure. They’ve for sure earned my loyalty! However, you may have to pay in full and then wait for your insurance provider to reimburse you, but they will let you know ahead of time if that’s the case.
Melissa A.
There aren’t enough words to describe how awesome Dr. Phillips and his staff are. He’s careful and considerate of your comfort. He’s also detail oriented and did a great job building up a tooth I almost lost. From the receptionist to the dental assistant, I was amazed at how incredible everyone was. They went the extra mile, and I don’t know why he’s ever had a negative review. I highly suggest you give Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA a call. It’s the best dental experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve been to my share of dentists!
Rebecca G.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Phillips for a long time now. He is a very honest dentist and has never pushed me to get a procedure done. Instead, he gives me the option to wait and watch any issues in case they turn out to be nothing, which has saved me a lot of money. The staff is warm and the office is very modern. They always seem to follow the latest best practices in terms of procedures, and they’ve always done a great job with my teeth. I will always go to Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA.

I’ve had a hard time find a truthful dentist in Philadelphia. After a few years, I found Dr. Phillips at Smile Care Center, and I’ve been going there for my 6 month cleanings and exams ever since. He won’t tell you that you need procedures when you really don’t, and he won’t force you to get an expensive deep cleaning treatment like other dentists have. He’s very honest, and he doesn’t just see you or your insurance company as a way to make money. They are in network with a lot of insurance plans, so I’m not sure about how affordable the pricing is. The hygienist is very sweet and makes my visit a pleasure. My only complaint is that she asks me questions while she’s got tools in my mouth, haha! I liked going to the dentist as a kid, and Dr. Phillips reminds me of my childhood dentist. They’re also great at fitting you in whenever you're available and have some later appointments. The office itself offers porcelain fillings, digital x-rays, and buff polish and baking soda blast.

I usually hate going to the dentist, but my appointment at Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA was actually pretty great. It was my first time seeing Dr. Phillips, and the office was amazing. The staff was kind and welcoming, and I didn’t feel like they were rushing through my appointment to get to the patient after me. I am so excited to get my braces next time I visit them!

A friend referred me to Smile Care Center in Philadelphia. I don’t have dental insurance, so I held off on my 3-year-old’s first dentist visit. But when I noticed that he had a dark spot on his tooth, I knew I had to take him in. Scheduling the appointment was simple and can be done online or via email, which means no missed calls! We had to wait a little bit when we got there, but it wasn’t terrible. The receptionist was very welcoming and talked to my son. The hygienist was fast with the cleaning and told him what each tool did. She even let him sit on my lap while she cleaned his teeth and really went above and beyond for my little boy. She let him pick his toothpaste, lifted the chair up and down for fun, showed him the tools on his hand before putting them in his mouth, and helped him find a toothbrush in his favorite color. When they found a cavity, they filled it on the spot. Dr. Phillips was very nice. I was kicking myself for not bringing him in sooner, but he tried to make me feel better by saying that even his kids had cavities. The bill was fair, especially considering he got a cleaning, exam, and filling. Overall, it was a good experience, and I love that my son isn’t terrified of the dentist!

The experts at Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA treat you like family. As soon as you walk in, they know who you are, call you by name, and even inquire about your family. They also do an amazing job of taking care of your teeth! Yesterday was my 3-month cleaning, and one of my crowns came loose. Dr. Phillips instantly brought me into his office, cleaned the crown, examined the crowned tooth, and then put the crown back in place in under 10 minutes. See you again in 3 months, Dr. Phillips!

The staff at Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA are so warm and welcoming. They really go the extra mile to make you feel relaxed. I just had my first visit, and honestly, everyone I met from the receptionist to the dental assistant to Dr. Phillips was incredible. It’s a sanitary, efficient atmosphere. They were accommodating to mom and thoroughly explained everything to her. Such a great place!

After being in school for a few years, I was ecstatic when I signed up for dental insurance again. I actually love getting my teeth cleaned! But I was disappointed when I saw the bad reviews for all the dental offices that were in network. It took some time, but I found Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA. And I’m so happy I did! The staff is warm and welcoming, and the hygienist cleaned my teeth just as well as my mom, who happens to be a dental hygienist. Plus, Dr. Phillips doesn’t try to push unnecessary procedures on you. I had such a good experience that I scheduled my boyfriend for a dentist appointment. The only thing I don’t really like is that their hours aren’t as flexible as I would have hoped. It would be so nice if they had extended hours even for a few days a week, but I can’t really take away points just for that!

I was a little nervous to go to the Smile Care Center in Philadelphia, PA because I’ve had horrible dental experiences before. However, this dental team wants to make sure I have the best dental health possible. Aside from one bad experience a few months prior, my teeth haven’t been looked at in at least 10 years, but Dr. Phillips set me up with a treatment plan. He also factored in my physical health. This review is coming from a real dude with awful teeth, haha. Please give Dr. Phillips a shot. He is very direct and won’t put you through unnecessary procedures or charge you extra expenses. They really do care about you!
Benjamin H.
Today was my first appointment with Dr. Phillips at Smile Care Center, and I was truly impressed with the service! Everyone was so nice and warm as soon as I walked in until I left. The office is gorgeous and well organized. They didn’t try to push unnecessary services or procedures on me. Actually, when they told me my options, they said I could pick whatever I was comfortable with and that they would never pressure me into getting something done that I didn’t need. As long as I’m in Philadelphia, I won’t go anywhere else for my dental needs!

My mom and I have been patients at Smile Care Center for a while now, and this is the greatest dentist I’ve had, hands down. Dr. Phillips and the rest of the staff are kind, caring, and gentle, and they really care about their clients. The office has a very comfortable atmosphere, and are easy to talk to. Dr. Phillips is detail oriented and really knows what he’s doing, he can handle any problem you throw at him. I always feel good after my appointments. I always recommend them.

This dentist is the best. I ditched my old dentist in Philadelphia that I originally went to, because he had wanted to charge me for unnecessary work. I typically avoid places that have multiple dentists, but decided to give this place since they are a part of the Doctors Network, and I’m happy with my decision. Dr. Phillips is great and easy to talk to. I’ve had the same hygienist the entire time I’ve been a patient here for a while. Everyone here is very kind.

Smile Care Center is the best dental clinic in Philadelphia you can take your whole family to. My 8 year old daughter just went in for her first visit and it was great from the moment I scheduled the appointment. The woman who helped me make the appointment was helpful and nice. She was able to get us in the next day no problem. The office was clean and had an area for kids to keep them entertained in the waiting room. The front desk staff was great. I was worried about how my daughter would do since this was her first appointment ever, but the hygienist made it fun and made sure she was comfortable. There was no pain and no problems during the cleaning. Dr. Phillips is awesome. He is very easy to talk to and taught my son some good tips about dental health. I’m very happy with the service we received, and I am so glad I found my favorite dentist in Philadelphia. Would definitely recommend.
