I needed a lot of crown work done so I did some research and am so happy I found Dr. Jacob’s office. He had a lot of positive reviews on Doctors Network, and rightfully so. His staff is great. He will listen to any of your concerns, and he’s always very nice and caring. My wife now comes to Philadelphia for her dental work as well. Our son and daughter-in-law also come here. Everyone should go to Dr. Jacob!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Patoliya at Advanced Dental Designs in Philadelphia, PA for over a decade, and I’ve referred multiple people to him, too. The only thing I’ve ever needed is x-rays and cleanings, but he and his staff are always amazing and on time. The staff is amiable, and the only complaint I have is the parking and that sometimes my scheduled appointments are canceled and need to be rescheduled.

This place is great with kids, they’re very friendly and patient. My 7 year old son screams every time he sees needles, so getting his teeth removed was going to be a big ordeal. Dr. Vasilyev took his time with him, giving out hugs, comforting him, coaxing him, he did everything he could to get him to cooperate, but he was kind about it the whole time. Dr. Vasilyev and his assistant, who was also great, were finally able to extract the 3 teeth from my son’s mouth. My son didn’t have to go under anesthesia thanks to him and I didn’t have to take him to a specialty dental center, which was going to be my last resort just to get 3 baby teeth removed. We’re definitely coming back here.

I had a loose crown that needed repair done to it, and since I am located pretty close to Absolute Smile, I figured I may as well give them a shot. And I am so happy I did! Scheduling was quick and easy, the staff was very smart and organized, as well as being incredibly polite. Dr. Cox fixed me up right away and then took the time to tell me what other things I should look at having done in the future, and every one carefully explained my options and insurance coverage. Love this place! If you live in or near Philly, come check them out!

Major problems arise when we lose natural teeth. Obviously, there are problems with eating a variety of meals. Even talking clearly could be a problem. However, the major problem is the loss of structure in the jaw. This weakens the jaw, and could even cause an older appearance. More importantly, this limits dental implant placement. Additional treatments could be necessary to strengthen the jaw in order to make dental implant placement possible! Fortunately, Doctors Network could help you schedule an appointment with a great Philadelphia oral and maxillofacial surgeon who is in-network with discount dental plans and performs this care. In addition, we could also discuss our payment plans to make dental care affordable!

Ridge preservation is also referred to as ridge augmentation. Essentially this enables the dentist to rebuild jawbone structure in your mandible. Your dentist could use a number of different options. Tissue could be taken from the back of the jaw or the hip. Donor materials like bovine bone could also be used. We could also recommend synthetic materials. Through oral surgery, these are applied to the areas of weakened structure in the lower jawbone.

Once the area heals, biocompatible dental implants could be placed. The body will allow them to bond with the jaw. As a result, they help prevent any further breakdown in the jaw, allowing long-lasting tooth replacement. Our team can connect you to a dentist in Philadelphia, PA who offers ridge augmentation, and also let you know about our dental discount plan to make sure your care fits in your budget!

If you have a toothache, or a tooth that is damaged, you need treatment. Otherwise, the tooth could develop caries and infections. Soon, there is a risk of not only a lost tooth, but a spread of infection to other areas of the jaw. But sometimes, the damage or cavity is beyond the stage to be treated with a tooth filling or a root canal. Instead, the tooth could require an extraction. At Doctors Network, our team can help you find a private dentist in Philadelphia, PA who can provide a safe tooth removal as needed.

As we touched on above, severe cavities or injury could be why a tooth needs extraction. But a dentist could also remove one that is loosened by periodontal disease. Taking out a tooth could improve bite balance and chewing function. Extraction could also provide room for orthodontic treatment! In many cases, this could prevent the negative impact of wisdom tooth eruption. Removing wisdom teeth prior to eruption helps preserve the balance and appearance of your smile. For people with advanced tooth loss, removing the last few teeth essentially paves the way for full or partial dentures. Your Philadelphia general dentist could use the procedure to improve the function, health, and even the beauty of your smile.

Now that you understand when and why a tooth may need to be taken out, how do you seek care for one? Well, as mentioned above Doctors Network can find your dentist in the Philadelphia, PA area. But if you don’t have a dental plan, you may worry about the cost. Fortunately, we have a financing option! Our dental membership plan is opened with an initial fee and maintained with a small fee each month. For some, this could cut the cost of care by up to 90 percent!

Tooth loss could lead to several problems for your smile. For example, this could impact your meal options, or how clearly you can articulate. But the most serious complication is the loss of mass and density in the jaw. The body suspends the flow of calcium and phosphate to the areas without teeth, which in turn causes bone loss and an aged appearance and weakens the structure significantly. Which means you may not be able to receive dental implants to address gaps in your smile. But Doctors Network can connect you with a dentist in Philadelphia, PA who can strengthen your smile.

As discussed in previous posts, a bone grafting procedure helps strengthen the lower jaw, so it can support dental implants. But what about the the upper area? Instead of a grafting procedure, your Philadelphia dentist could perform a sinus lift. Essentially, the dentist will raise the sinus floor to induce the formation of new tissues. The new structure can support dental implants. Once the new teeth are secured, this stimulates the growth of bone tissue to keep your jaw secure. Your new teeth then stay in place for years, possibly even a lifetime.

If you need to strengthen your weakened jawbone to support new teeth, we could help. Our team can connect you with a Philadelphia, PA dental professional who can address tooth loss and takes uninsured patients. When your smile is strengthened and ready, dental implants could provide a full smile again. If you don’t have insurance, don’t let this stand between you and good oral health. Instead, talk to our team about our monthly membership plan. With our Direct Dental Plan, you can have treatments discounted by as much as 90% in some situations. A full smile is in your future!

You probably have lots of friends who have had their wisdom teeth pulled and are eager to divulge their experiences to you. While this can be helpful, it is still necessary to consult with a dentist or an oral surgeon. If you need your wisdom teeth removed, it is important to have lots of information at your disposal. This will help you understand what to expect from the procedure and what you should expect from the dentist. Luckily, Doctors Network can help you connect with a great oral surgeon near you in Philadelphia, PA that accepts self-pay patients.

The third molars are located in the back of the mouth, and there are two on the top and two on the bottom. They typically appear between seventeen and twenty-five. Because they come in later than the rest of your teeth, their presence can cause problems with your existing ones. They can erupt at odd directions, only partially come in, or overcrowd your already-established teeth. When this occurs, they are likely to succumb to abscess and infections. If any of these situations happen, it can be very painful and can affect your teeth. If you think you might have impediments with wisdom teeth, it is important to see a Philadelphia oral surgery specialist hastily.

If you in fact need wisdom teeth extraction, your doctor will determine how they will go about the procedure to ensure everything goes according to the plan. They will determine which of your wisdom teeth need to be removed and how complex it will be. They will also determine the appropriate type of sedation and the position of your existing teeth. Once they ascertain these facts, they can plan your wisdom teeth extraction more easily. When you come in for the procedure, you will receive the appropriate sedation, so you will not feel pain. Your dentist will extract your teeth and pay attention to your needs the entire time to make sure you are doing well. Once your wisdom teeth are removed, you will get post-surgery care instructions. Fortunately, there are many Philadelphia dentists that accept self-pay patients and can adeptly pull your wisdom teeth.

Did you ever notice popping or cracking when you open your mouth? Do you have aching jaw and facial pain? If so, this could be related to a common but serious oral health issue. Around 25 million people in the United States suffer from TMD and teeth grinding. Without treatment, these could not only cause pain, but actually wear down outer tooth structure! Fortunately, your friends at Doctors Network can help you find a dental office in Philadelphia, PA who accepts self-pay patients.

While very different from one another, we often find these are related. TMJ disorder develops when the jaw joints undergo excessive strain. This could cause problems when you eat or speak. Common symptoms include pain in the head and neck. Bruxism means you often grind your teeth or clench your jaw. The pressure of clenching could cause jaw pain. Teeth grinding could also fracture or break your teeth. This damage could lead to decay, infection, and more. Both disorders could be caused by issues that upset bite balance, and untreated TMJ disorder could mean eventual teeth grinding, and vice-versa. When you have persistent pain in your head and neck, you should find help. We can even connect you with a dentist in Philadelphia who accepts self-pay patients.

There are, however, multiple treatment options available; for some, relief is possible following crown placement, which improves bite balance. For others, treating malocclusion with orthodontic treatment could ease strain and stop symptoms. The most common option offered by most dental professionals is a custom splint, which fits like a night-guard. If you need to find treatment from a Philadelphia dentist. then contact our team!
