I wish I could give Family Dentistry 20 stars! They finally fixed my tooth problems. The first dentist I went to in Richmond told me I needed a root canal after I went to him for tooth pain, and even though I was desperate for relief, I’m glad I got a second opinion. Had I sprung for the root canal, it would have been an awful experience, so listen to your instincts when something doesn’t feel right! No one wants to feel like just another number. I went to Family Dentistry twice - once for an examination appointment and then a cleaning - in just a few weeks’ time. Their patient care is spot on - very caring and committed to finding the real reason for my tooth pain. After a few X-rays and pictures, they realized that my tooth was fractured. A root canal wouldn’t have solved my problem because it needed to be extracted and replaced with an implant. Dr. Morrison referred me to an oral surgeon, who did a great job. I’m so grateful for the incredible experts (dentists, hygienists, and receptionists) at this office! They were so intelligent and sweet, so it’s no wonder this business is thriving! I’ve been looking for a new dentist for a loooong time, and I finally found him: Dr. Morrison! The entire staff from the front office to the exam room made the experience one to remember. Check in was quick and easy with only a few forms to complete, and they got me back within 15 minutes. The exam room was spotless, organized, and cozy. The hygienists did a good job with my cleaning and kept making sure I was doing alright. Dr. Morrison was very empathetic when I told him that I hadn’t seen a dentist in a long time because I lost my medical and dental coverage. He told me not to worry and said he was proud that I came in. He never harped on me about my dental problems and reassured me by saying that it wasn’t as bad as it could be and that a few simple procedures could fix everything. The fluoride treatment was nice, and booking an appointment and paying for any extra costs was a breeze. I’m going to take my kids to Family Dentistry in Richmond very soon, too!

Yesterday was my first visit with Dr. Morrison at Family Dentistry in Richmond, and I was amazed at how sanitary the office was and how sweet and friendly the staff was! I’m so happy I had a great experience because I hadn’t gone to the dentist office for a long time, but they were all so helpful, detailed, and nice. The only bad thing is that I had to wait a little bit after my X-rays, which I wasn’t happy about because I know I’d get stuck in rush hour traffic on the way home. But the staff explained what happened and apologized, so I understand that emergencies come up. They made sure I knew they didn’t forget about me, which I appreciated. Based on others’ experiences, though, that seems like a rare occurrence - it was probably just an off day for them, so I wouldn’t hold it against them. They definitely made up for it, which was sweet of them. The way they handle themselves in these situations just shows that they really care about their patients and that they’re professional. Plus, cleanings typically hurt me because they are usually poking and prodding, but they were so careful and detailed here that I left feeling wonderful. Super welcoming - I love Family Dentistry in Richmond, VA! They’re quick and will give you pointers about how to take care of your teeth. They gave me my night guard, and I know they weren’t trying to get money from me because my last dentist told me I was grinding my teeth at night even though I had no idea I was doing it. They’re very truthful, too. My insurance covered more than they thought they would, so I ended up overpaying for a service. They cut me a check for reimbursement, which I was thankful for. The office is spotless and has a lot of new technology. It’s not as high tech as some other dentists I’ve been to, but their kindness, truthfulness, and cleanliness is why I keep coming back. They accept a lot of insurances, so I barely have to pay anything for my cleanings and fluoride treatments. I love Dr. Morrison and his staff!

I have lived in Virginia for 6 years and every dentist in Richmond I’ve been to have been unethical and untrustworthy. I had given up on dentists in Virginia and planned on going to a dentist in Florida when I go to visit family. I found Family Dentistry and I’m so happy I did. They don’t try to get you to pay for procedures you don’t need, which a lot of dentists I’ve been to here in Virginia have. They are awesome, and now I can stay in Virginia for dental work because I have a dentist who I trust and respect. I’m so happy I found them.
