As children, we lose our baby teeth as a natural part of growing up. However, as adults, losing teeth is often due to injury. Gum disease is the number one cause. Since missing teeth at this age isn’t natural, this means oral health complications. You could have difficulties consuming solid foods. Problems speaking are a common consequence. Finally, you could risk impacting your smile alignment, or even your youthful features. You need a permanent in-network dentist in Millbrook, AL who can provide prosthetic dentistry. Fortunately, Doctors Network can help locate one.

First, we will connect you to an amazing dentist in your location who accepts your insurance. After that, your new dentist can examine your smile to assess your missing teeth. For less severe cases, a dental bridge could be placed, providing lifelike results. For multiple gaps, partial dentures could offer a solution and address complicated tooth loss. Finally, a complete denture could be crafted and secured. While most complete dentures and partial dentures are removable, they could be supported with tooth implants. Dental implants act as natural teeth, and prevent negative changes to your jaw and facial structure following missing a tooth.

If you live in the Millbrook area and have lost your natural teeth, let us help. We can help you get started on receiving a dental prosthetic. The smile of your dreams is possible, even if you’ve suffered edentulism, and even if many years have gone by since that happened!

P. S. Please celebrate our dentists in Nashville, TN with us this week.

If you have a toothache, or a tooth that is broken or cracked, you need treatment. Otherwise, the tooth could develop a decay and infections. Soon, there is a risk of not only a lost tooth, but a spread of infection to other teeth. But sometimes, the cavity is beyond the stage to be treated with a restoration. Instead, the tooth could require an extraction. At Doctors Network, our team can help you book a visit with a private dentist or oral surgeon in Millbrook, AL who can offer a safe tooth removal as needed.

As we touched on above, severe cavities or injury could be why a tooth needs extraction. But a dentist could also remove one that is loosened by periodontal disease. Taking out a tooth could restore overall balance and chewing function. Extraction could also provide room for orthodontic treatment! In many cases, this could prevent the negative impact of wisdom tooth eruption. Removing wisdom teeth prior to eruption helps preserve the balance and smile beauty. For people with advanced tooth loss, removing the last few teeth essentially paves the way for full or partial dentures. Your Millbrook dentist could use this to improve the health, function, and surprisingly, sometimes the appearance of your smile.

Now that you understand when and why a tooth may need to be taken out, how do you seek care for one? Well, as mentioned above Doctors Network can locate a dentist in the Millbrook, AL area. But if you don’t have a dental plan, you may worry about costs. Fortunately, we have a direct payment plan! Our dental membership plan is opened with an initial fee and maintained with a monthly fee. For some, this could discount care by up to ninety percent!

You probably know many people who have had their wisdom teeth extracted and are eager to describe their experiences to you. While this can be helpful, it is still necessary to consult with a dental professional. If you need your wisdom teeth removed, it is best to have a plethora of information at your disposal. This will help you understand what to expect from wisdom teeth extraction and what you should look for in a dentist. Luckily, Doctors Network can help you connect with a great oral surgeon near you in Millbrook, AL that accepts private patients.

The third molars are located in the back of the mouth, and there is one on each quadrant. They usually appear between seventeen and twenty-five. Because wisdom teeth are the last adult teeth, their presence can cause complications with your existing ones. They can erupt at unusual directions, only partially come in, or overcrowd your already-established teeth. When this occurs, they are likely to succumb to abscess and infections. If any of these situations happen, it can be very uncomfortable and can harm your dentition. If you think you might have complications with wisdom teeth coming in, it is important to see a Millbrook oral surgery practice as soon as possible.

If you do need wisdom teeth extraction, your dentist will determine how they will go about the removal to make certain everything goes smoothly. They will determine which of your wisdom teeth need to be removed and how complex it could get. They will also decide the appropriate type of sedation and the condition of your existing teeth and nerve. Once they ascertain this information, they can extract your wisdom teeth more easily. When you come in for the procedure, you will receive the appropriate sedation option, so you will not feel any pain. Your dentist will extract your teeth and monitor you the entire time to make sure you are ok. Once your wisdom teeth are removed, you will be provided with post-surgery care instructions. Fortunately, there are many Millbrook dentists that accept private patients and can adeptly extract your wisdom teeth.

It is paramount for kids to visit the dentist every six months for exams and cleanings. By teaching your children preventative measures to protect their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the tools to have healthy smiles for many years. If you are looking for a dentist in Millbrook who takes private patients, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering checkups and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kid with protective sealants. These are thin pieces of film that go over their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a shield between their adult molars and harmful germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of infection by up to 80 percent. It is a simple service that is very effective at preventing cavities on adult teeth in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another proven tool that your dentists provide. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps strengthen your children’s enamel layer. While enamel is one of the most protective substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your little one’s teeth become more susceptible to cavities. Fluoride treatment prevents this from happening. Using fluoride toothpaste can also help. For more information, please schedule an appointment with one of our dental practices in Millbrook.

If you have used any of these, you know that they almost always provide disappointing results. However, professional teeth whitening can actually provide a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Millbrook, AL that accepts patients with no dental coverage, we can help you find one that offers professional teeth whitening.

When you visit your Millbrook dentist, they can provide you with either an in-office or even at-home treatment option. Should you opt for treatment in the office, you will only have to stay for roughly an hour. If you would prefer to go with whitening at home, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill with a safe whitening solution. You will wear these for one or two hours each day for approximately two weeks. Once this treatment is complete, you will have a brighter smile. Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
