Doctors Network

Yellowstone in Wyoming was America’s first official National Park. With the lowest population of all 50 states, at only 585,000 people, the park is also what most outsiders recognize about Wyoming. However, for those who call it home, there’s much more to the Equality State (so named because it was the first state to give women the right to vote). Among the state’s many hidden treasures, residents can now be proud to include inexpensive dental care with the help of Doctors Network. Teaming up with dentists across the state, Doctors Network is a group of dentists and doctors who aim to make expert dental health care attainable for everyone. By offering direct dental plans, Wyoming dentists can help patients change their lives by making high-quality dentistry significantly more affordable.

We know it’s easy for time to get away from you. Life gets chaotic, and losing track of time is only natural. Unfortunately, so are cavities. Going too long without a visit to the dentist can lead to a lifetime of oral health issues. But besides scheduling your next dental appointment, there are things you can do each day to maintain the perfect smile. Start by brushing and flossing your teeth twice per day. Use a fluoride-based toothpaste and a soft-bristled brush. Next, drink plenty of water. Third, be aware of what you put in your mouth. Avoid sugary snacks and tobacco products, and always eat a balanced diet. Small changes in your daily routine now can lead to big differences later.

What is tooth extraction?

a
ache-remover-696

Tooth extraction or tooth removal is classified into two main types: simple extractions and surgical extractions. Understanding the difference between these types can help you prepare for your procedure. 1. Simple Extraction: This method of tooth extraction is performed on a tooth that is fully erupted in the mouth and can be removed with dental forceps with relative ease. After administering a topical anesthetic and then local anesthetic (Novocaine) to numb the area, the dentist or oral surgeon loosens the tooth by luxating it with an instrument called a straight elevator and then removes it with surgical forceps. Simple dental extraction is typically performed without the need to cut the gum, which is called raising a gingival flap in technical terminology, which is the process of making an incision in the gum and then separating the entire thickness of the gum away from the underlying bone, thereby exposing the actual jaw bone under it. This is done usually for teeth that are carious, damaged, or need to be extracted for orthodontic reasons. 2. Surgical Extraction: Surgical tooth extractions are more complex and are considered for teeth that are not easily accessible, such as impacted wisdom teeth (3rd molars) or teeth that have very little clinical crown left of them. Root tips also need to be surgically exposed sometimes. This method involves making the aforementioned incision in the gum tissue to expose the tooth and the underlying bone. The tooth may be cut into smaller pieces for easy removal. Sometime it is even required to truph the bone surrounding the roots (alveolar bone). Truphing the bone is the process of cutting the alveolar bone around the tooth to loosen the roots further, usually done on roots that are significantly curved or ankylosed (adhered to the bone). Surgical dental extraction is usually performed under local anesthesia, but sedation options are also available usually for wisdom teeth removal or high anxiety patients. Surgical tooth extraction may be needed for impacted teeth that are deeply embedded in the jawbone.

It was so easy to find a doctor and make an appointment. I didn't have to take hours to call different offices and find out who takes my insurance and who doesn't.

I'm a freelancer, so I can't buy insurance easily, so I always ended up paying a lot for doctors' visits. I signed up for a Doctors Network dental plan, and my dental cleanings cost only $25 now. If you don't have dental insurance I highly recommend it.

I fell off my bike and chipped my front tooth. I was able to find and book an appointment online right away. Next time I need an appointment I'll try Doctors Network again.
