Dr. Peter Garramore was introduced to dentistry at a young age by his oral surgeon uncle but initially chose to pursue laboratory science. After graduating from Biddeford High School, he attended the University of New England, then the University of New Hampshire where he earned his master’s degree in biochemistry. Soon after, he began his career in the lab. He enjoyed the science side of it but felt lonely and longed for a more people-oriented lifestyle.

Dr. Garramore decided to earn his dental degree from Oral Roberts University School of Dentistry. He was awarded the outstanding senior dental student award from the dental faculty at the Academy of General Dentistry. Upon graduating, Dr. Garramore went to Monmouth Medical Center to complete a dental medicine general practice residency. He returned to Biddeford, ME, and opened his practice where he continues to treat patients today.

Dr. Kevin P. Valle has been practicing dentistry since 1988. He began his work with his identical twin brother in Annapolis, Maryland. In 2007, he moved to South Portland, ME, to join Progressive Dental Care where he has been practicing ever since.

Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Valle earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola College of Baltimore where he also earned a ranking in the TriBeta Biological Honor Society. He graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, the first dental school in the world, in 1988. He was a part of the first group of dental graduates in the country to complete a new type of clinical training, which then became a prototype for dental schools across the world.

After graduating and opening his practice, Dr. Valle worked hard to become a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He continues to attend society meetings today. Dr. Valle has also continued attending training courses throughout his career, including the Dental Continuum courses with the Dawson Academy, the LSU School of Dentistry, and the Spear Education Center. He is the coordinator and leader of the Spear study group in Maine.

Dr. Paul Cloutier took an unusual path to dentistry, earning his bachelor's degree in economics from Boston College in 1990, and then starting a career in politics before discovering his passion for dental science. Although Dr. Cloutier enjoyed living in Washington, DC, and working for Senator George Mitchell, he missed his home state of Maine. Longing to be closer to home, and to have a more hands-on career, Dr. Cloutier discovered dentistry. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 2003 and opened his first dental practice in 2005. Since then, he has opened Main Street Dental where he continues to practice today.

Dr. Cloutier always strives for perfection when it comes to treating patients. His goal is to earn the trust of everyone who comes to his office, honor their needs, and meet their expectations. His office employs only the best dental staff equally dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal oral health. No matter the procedure, Dr. Cloutier believes in providing nothing but top-quality dentistry.

Dr. Kevin Lukas completed his dental training at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. There he acted as Class President and student-faculty liaison to negotiate curriculum development and grading policy. While in school he also served on the university’s digital radiography implementation committee and was Vice President of the student chapter of the American Association of Endodontists.

After graduating, Dr. Lukas began his life as a practicing dentist. However, he didn’t always know that dentistry was his calling. Dr. Lukas earned his undergraduate degree in art and biology from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota. He graduated in 1994 and then began a successful career as a representative for several dental technology device manufacturers. He spent his time training dentists around the country to use advanced dental equipment including digital radiography, surgical microscopes, and dental lasers. His career was fruitful, but something was missing.

His career gave him a great appreciation for dental technologies, but it was missing a human touch. He eventually recognized that working one-on-one with patients was his passion. He went back to school immediately to earn his dental degree. Today, Dr. Lukas enjoys working with patients of all ages and finds the combination of art and science especially interesting.

Dr. Lawlor has always enjoyed going to the dentist. From a young age, he knew that he wanted to help others have the same positive dental experiences he did, and opening his own dental practice was the best way to do it. At Maine Dentistry, Dr. Lawlor is dedicated to providing each of his patients with a high-quality, comfortable, and judgment-free experience. He offers a variety of general and cosmetic treatments.

He graduated from Dalhousie University before joining the Air Force as an avionics specialist. He served as dental director on two overseas deployments, earning himself the Airman of the Year award, among many other accolades. Following 10 years of service, Dr. Lawlor dedicated his time to providing free dental care to families and kids in need in Guatemala. He then opened his practice in his home state of Maine.

Today, he is a Fellow of the International College of Oral Implantologists. He was voted one of America’s Top Dentists of 2016, 2017, and 2018.

Dr. Huy Nguyen was born in the United States but was raised primarily in Germany. For completion of his higher education, Dr. Nguyen decided to attend the University of Washington in Seattle to earn his Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then attended Boston University to earn his Masters in Oral Health Sciences and Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry. Today, he is a practicing dentist in the beautiful state of Maine.

Dr. Jonathan Nutt, often referred to as Dr. J, takes pleasure in the personal side of dentistry. He devotes time every day to getting to know his patients, believing that a strong personal bond is essential to top-quality dentistry. Dr. J hopes to make every dental visit an enjoyable one. Whether he is numbing his patient’s gums or completing a restoration, Dr. J’s work is careful, gentle, and compassionate as he ensures that his patient's needs and concerns are always being met.

Dr. J earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Rivier University. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2018 from the University of New England and became a board-certified general dentist. While in school, Dr. J fell in love with the beautiful state of Maine and its people. He opened Integrity Dental upon graduating and continues to practice there today.
