After graduating from the University of Colorado and CU Boulder with Honors, as well as physics and mathematics degrees, he went on to the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 2015 where he took part in an Advanced Clinical Training program that allowed him to provide dental care to underserved populations in rural areas of Colorado. He has also traveled to Latin and Central America to take part in dentistry mission trips.

Dr. Wonnacott is not only passionate about working one-on-one with his patients but finds pleasure from being in the lab. He built a lab in his home where he produces his own high-quality crowns and restorative materials that he uses in his practice. He has been interested in lab work since his time at Creighton University where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2002. He was awarded a scholarship from the school for laboratory excellence. After completing his education, he practiced dentistry in California for 10 years before moving to Colorado where he continues giving back to his community by providing beautiful, comfortable, and lasting restorations.
