This is the best dentist in Houston hands down. Dr. Mehta and his staff are kind, gentle and friendly. They treat you like an individual rather than just another person in the chair. I feel very lucky to have found Dr. Mehta, it truly is a dream come true. They make everything easy, from scheduling an appointment to filling out very little paperwork, which can be done on a touch screen computer. My dental treatment was a breeze, and they took my fear of the dentist away. I would recommend this place to anyone. I’m so glad I found my primary dentist.

Dr. Lam Hoang discovered his passion for dentistry during his youth in Vietnam. He put this passion on hold after making the move to the United States, choosing to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering instead. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Houston, he worked as an electrical engineer for a few years but quickly realized that dentistry was his true calling. He attended the University of Texas Dental Branch where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2001. He graduated valedictorian. That same year, he completed a postgraduate orthodontics training program at the University of Texas Health Science Center that inspired him to go back to dental school and earn a Master of Science degree in 2003.

As a practicing dentist, Dr. Hoang enjoys helping his patients achieve not only beautiful, healthy smiles but long-term results that last them a lifetime. He is primarily interested in Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and its relationship to ADD and ADHD in children. He makes sure to look out for symptoms of OSA, ADD, and ADHD during his orthodontic exams.

Prestigious Smiles Dentistry in Houston, TX is incredible! My fear of the dentist far exceeds any desire to have healthy teeth and gums, which I know sounds crazy. I had been putting off seeing the dentist for so long, but I broke a tooth so I had to get it fixed - about time! Prestigious Smiles Dentistry said they had an opening less than 2 weeks out, so I took it. They took me back after just a few minutes in the lobby, and Dr. Zarghouni looked at it and fixed it right there. I was terrified when she brought the needle out, but it didn’t hurt as bad as I thought it would. Everyone was so considerate, kind, and sympathetic because of my fear. Not only was my tooth broken, but my gums were not looking too good either. They were able to get me an appointment later that same day to work on them. Even though two dentist visits in one day is a bit scary, it wasn’t all that bad. I absolutely recommend them to every dental chicken like me! They aren’t as bad as what you’d think - give them a call!

This Katy dentist office did a tooth extraction for me. The staff and office are all very nice. Dr. Kuti’s top priority was my comfort and he made sure I was numb before doing the procedure. I felt almost no pain. They called me the next day to make sure I was doing OK and to see if I had any questions. They emailed follow-up home care instructions, which have been very helpful. They’ve provided great care from the moment I walked and even into the next day with the follow up. I can’t recommend them enough. Thank you!

dental-implants-or-bridge

As adolescents, we lose our baby teeth as a natural part of growing up. However, as adults, losing teeth is often due to injury. Periodontal disease leads to major tooth loss. Since missing teeth at this age isn’t natural, this means problems. You could have difficulties eating. Problems talking clearly may develop. Finally, you could risk damages to your smile, or even your youthful features. You need a permanent Cigna dentist in Houston, TX who can correct your tooth loss. Fortunately, Doctors Network can help find a local dentist.

First, we will connect you to an amazing dentist in your location who accepts your insurance. Once we do, your new dentist can evaluate your smile to understand the factors behind your tooth loss. For less severe cases, a dental bridge could be the best option, providing lifelike results. For several gaps, partial dentures could offer a solution and rebuild your smile. Finally, a complete set of dentures could be custom-made. While most fulls and partial dentures are removable, they could be secured with titanium implants. Dental implants essentially look and function like natural teeth, and prevent negative changes to your mandible and maxilla and facial structure following missing a tooth.

If you live in the Houston area and have unsightly gaps in your smile, let us help. We can help you get started on receiving a dental prosthetic. A full smile is possible, even if you’ve suffered complete tooth loss, and even if years have gone by since that happened!

P. S. Please celebrate our dentists in Nashville, TN with us this week.

sleep-apnea-treatment

When you have a poor sleeping pattern, you may not assume a dentist near you could help. In fact, Cigna dentists can provide a comfortable and noninvasive option to help you breathe without interruption. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a condition in which when you sleep, the soft tissues in the throat and the tissues around the throat collapse and cause you to stop breathing. Patients literally stop breathing for a few moments until the brain wakes them. Even if you think you slept well, you’re actually sleep deprived! But when is it time to use the search tool on Doctors Network and find Houston, TX dentists who provide treatment options?

Sings of OSA include loud and frequent snoring. Daytime headaches, drowsiness, and even irritability could be factors too. With no intervention, sleep apnea could even strain your immune system and increase the risk of heart disease. When you notice similar signs and symptoms, consider seeing a dental professional. Sometimes, oral appliance therapy can be used as a CPAP alternative, so you can finally sleep well.

This week we are honoring our dental care providers near Manhattan, NY.

tooth-bonding

If you have a fractured tooth or a tooth that is misshapen or stained, then you need dental treatment. With tooth reshaping and tooth-color fillings in Houston, TX, these cosmetic imperfections can be treated in one visit. At Doctors Network, we are here to help connect you with a dentist in Houston, TX who accepts Cigna and provides the comprehensive treatments you need. You may not be aware just how much tooth-colored fillings can do in only one sitting.

Tooth bonding repairs aesthetic concerns effectively. The material, a mixture of glass-like and acrylic particles, is shaded and placed onto the prepared area. Houston general dentists also use the same material to address cracked or chipped teeth. During dental contouring, the dentist simply sands and buffs the outer tooth structure to correct your damaged or malformed tooth.

This week we are celebrating our Brooklyn local dentists. Utilizing both procedures, these dentists can reshape malformed teeth, fixed broken or fractured teeth, mask teeth stains, and even close spaces between teeth.

Periodontal disease is a common oral health issue. In fact, studies from the CDC reveal that half of adults over the age of thirty require treatment for periodontal concerns. Without treatment, gum disease could reach an advanced stage. Known as periodontal disease, this is actually one of the most common causes of adult tooth loss. All that to say, when you develop discomfort in the gums, you need to see a professional as soon as possible. Red and bloody gums are common indicators that you need to find a Houston community dental professional.

Doctors Network can facilitate finding dental offices in Houston TX that accept Cigna and can offer a treatment plan after examining your smile. If there is a presence of inflammation, then a treatment plan can be created. For mild to moderate periodontitis, a scaling and root planing followed by traditional cleanings every 3 to 4 months could help you avoid tooth loss. For the more advanced stage, there are options like laser dentistry, gum grafts, and more to protect your gums!

You are also more likely to develop cavities or even infected teeth, which is why if you have bruxism, you should consider using Doctors Network’s search tool to book an appointment with a dentist in Houston.

You can’t put a price on a full smile, but as we get older, most of us struggle with tooth loss. Missing teeth could lead to difficulty with eating and speaking, and can even lead to bone loss in the jaw. To treat missing teeth, people often turn to implants and fixed dentures. Unlike traditional options, such as dentures or fixed partial dentures, these are connected to posts inserted into your jaw. Crowns or even prosthetics like bridges are locked into these implant posts. These then act as new roots, so your new teeth can last not ten years, but possibly a lifetime with proper care.

Are you ready to replace missing teeth with dental implants? If you want to know how much a dental implant costs near you in Houston, you are not alone, but firstly, you need to find a Houston dentist who can offer implant dentistry. Doctors Network’s search tool can help you with this, connecting you to a dental office who not only can address your tooth loss, but also accepts Cigna. You can even register for a Doctors Network dental plan to decrease the cost of your treatment.

The dentist will carefully examine your smile. Underlying issues like gum disease may need to be treated before moving forward. But once completed, your dental implants will offer replacement teeth that look and function like natural ones!

From 1836 to 1845, Texas was its own independent nation, and it is the only state to have joined the U.S. through treaty rather than territorial annexation. Today, it is home to nearly 28 million people, making it the second most populous state (next to California) as well as the second largest (next to Alaska). Known as the Lone Star State, Texas’ independence and spirit has persevered throughout its history, and today’s Texans continue to do things their way. When it comes to dental health care, that means offering families across the state highly affordable alternatives to dental insurance through direct plans. Provided by your dentist in partnership with Doctors Network, a direct dental plan guarantees significant savings on all treatments that your dentist and oral health specialists provide, and it works whether or not you already have insurance coverage.
