Doctors Network

Missouri is the birthplace of America’s 33rd president, Harry Truman, and home to the nation’s largest beer brewery, Anheuser-Busch. Yet, it is perhaps more well-known for the St. Louis World’s Fair of 1904, which reportedly introduced most of the American foods we know and love today, including hot dogs, ice cream cones, Dr. Pepper, and much more. Today, the Show Me State is home to nearly 6.1 million residents, all of whom deserve to enjoy the benefits of exceptional dental care without having to pay exorbitant out-of-pocket costs. To help them all receive that care, Doctors Network has partnered with dentists across the state to offer patients direct dental plans directly through their dentists’ offices.

Doctors Network

Missouri is one of the nation’s friendliest places to raise a family, and boasts a relatively low cost of living coupled with a strong economy. However, dental health care costs can be a burden to families of all backgrounds and demographics, even when they have dental insurance coverage. The goal of Doctors Network is to help dentists across Missouri offer high-quality care directly to their patients, without the exorbitant extra costs that third-party insurance companies often tack on to their plans. With a direct dental plan, you only pay a small monthly fee, which your dentist will determine, to gain access to substantial savings on your dental health care. For instance, checkup and cleaning appointments only cost $25 per visit under the plan, and treatments such as teeth-whitening, dental fillings, crowns, Invisalign®, dental implants, and more will be significantly discounted—often by up to 90%!

The best thing about a direct dental plan is that it is not insurance. Therefore, signing up will not interfere with any existing insurance coverage that you may already have. If you don’t have insurance, then Doctors Network can make managing your family’s dental health care needs more affordable than ever before. To learn more, or to sign up, speak with your dentist about joining Doctors Network the next time you visit. Or, you can browse the Doctors Network website at www.doctorsnetwork.com to find a Missouri dentist near you who already offers the direct dental plan.

Dr. Wade Kifer, DDS, was born in Missouri and spent his early years there before moving to Fort Smith, Arkansas, at the age of 13. It was during his time in Arkansas that he first developed an interest in dentistry, drawn by his passion for both science and helping others. Dentistry became a natural fit for him, blending his love for both fields.

After graduating from Southside High School in 1995, Dr. Kifer went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Arkansas in 1999. He was then accepted into the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, where he earned his dental degree in 2003. To further refine his skills, he completed a one-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD), focusing on delivering high-quality general dental care.

While in Tennessee, Dr. Kifer met his wife, Claire, who was studying physical therapy. The two married in 2004 in her hometown of Dyersburg, Tennessee, before relocating to northwest Arkansas. He gained valuable experience working in both an orthodontic practice and a general dental office before joining Dr. Broyles’ practice in Fayetteville, Arkansas, in the summer of 2006.

Dr. Kifer has a deep passion for continuing education and is committed to staying at the forefront of dentistry. He consistently exceeds state requirements by completing over one hundred hours of continuing education annually, five times the minimum required. He has been studying at the Kois Center of Excellence in Seattle since 2008 and is an active member of both the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Arkansas State Dental Association (ASDA). In addition, he serves as the President of the Academy of Interdisciplinary Dentofacial Therapy (AIDT) and volunteers his time at the Fayetteville Free Health Center.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Kifer enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Claire, and their three children—Kate, Kinley, and Nicholas—who are the greatest joys in their lives. The family is active in their church and enjoys attending Razorback sports events, including football, basketball, and baseball games. What is cosmetic dentistry?

crown-fan-353

Cosmetic dentistry is a branch of dentistry focused on enhancing the aesthetics and appearance of a person's teeth, gums, and smile. While traditional dentistry mainly concentrates on health and functionality, cosmetic dentistry places a strong focus on improving the visual appeal of the smile. It encompasses a range of elective procedures and treatments aimed at achieving an attractive and confident smile. Typical treatments included in cosmetic dentistry are: Cosmetic Dental Fillings: Tooth-colored (white) fillings made from composite materials to fix cavities while maintaining a natural appearance. Teeth Whitening: The process of lightening stained or discolored teeth to achieve brighter and whiter smiles. Dental Bonding: The application of a tooth-colored resin to repair or improve the aesthetics of teeth affected by chips, cracks, or gaps. Dental Veneers: Thin, custom-made shells of porcelain placed over the front surface of a tooth to improve its appearance, addressing issues like gaps, discolorations, or unevenness. Dental Crowns: Custom-made caps, typically made out of porcelain or ceramic, that cover damaged or discolored teeth, restoring their anatomy, size, and strength while improving their aesthetic appeal. Dental Implants: Surgically implanted titanium artificial tooth roots to support a single or multiple replacement teeth, providing a natural-looking and fully functional solution for missing teeth. Invisalign: A removable and discreet orthodontic treatment using a series of clear aligners to gradually straighten teeth without traditional brackets and wires. Orthodontic Treatments: Procedures like braces or ceramic braces or clear aligners to straighten misaligned or crooked teeth, improving their appearance and functionality. Smile Makeovers: Comprehensive treatment processes combining different cosmetic procedures to achieve a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing new smile. Gum Contouring: Reshaping or re-contouring of the gum line to improve the appearance of the teeth, particularly when there is excessive gum exposure, short clinical crowns, or uneven gum levels. Cosmetic dentistry enables individuals to obtain their desired smile aesthetics, boosting their confidence and often improving their overall self-esteem.

It was so easy to find a doctor and make an appointment. I didn't have to take hours to call different offices and find out who takes my insurance and who doesn't.

I'm a freelancer, so I can't buy insurance easily, so I always ended up paying a lot for doctors' visits. I signed up for a Doctors Network dental plan, and my dental cleanings cost only $25 now. If you don't have dental insurance I highly recommend it.

I fell off my bike and chipped my front tooth. I was able to find and book an appointment online right away. Next time I need an appointment I'll try Doctors Network again.
