Dr. Amir Barati formed Peace Valley Dentistry with his long-time dental partner, Dr. Tom Forte. While attending university, he also completed a dental externship program at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He went to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania’s Maxillofacial Surgery Department to complete an internship program as well. During this internship, he spent time treating children at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Barati also spent time as an educator, teaching the next generation of dentists as a part-time teacher at Penn while working at several private practices. In 2005, he began working with Dr. Tom Forte, who he continues to work with today. When he is not treating patients in the office, Dr. Barati can be found volunteering his services to those in need through the Mission of Mercy and Ann Silverman Clinic.

I’ve been having a lot of toothaches and wanted to see what was going on. The staff strived to make comfortable and were very kind. I was only in there for two hours, but they found the problem and fixed it right away. I had imagined that this would be just an assessment and then I would have to make another appointment to get the work done, but they were able to get it all done then and there. I went back a week ago for a cleaning and some fillings and everything was super easy. I'm so happy to no longer be in pain because of toothaches, and my teeth look and feel great. I’ve had many appointments at this office (once every three weeks), and it was always a great experience. This is the best dentist office in the Kensington area in Pennsylvania. Everyone there is very professional, everyone shook my hand during introductions. A week after my visit a card that summarized my visit and even mentioned some of the personal stuff I brought up on it came in the mail. They really know their stuff there and are willing to go through everything with you. When I had my 1st root canal done Dr. Jacob was able to show me where the problem with my tooth was on an IPad. After my crown prep appointment, Dr. Jacob called me personally to check up on me and make sure I wasn’t in any pain. As someone in healthcare, I can say that these personal touches really matter because they make the patient feel important like they’re not just another patient.
