Grownups are not the only ones who benefit from regular dental care. Adolescents need regular dental exams as well, and they need to be monitored by a dentist for issues like tooth decay. This could include dental misalignment, or for teens, wisdom tooth eruption. If you need to schedule an appointment online with a family dentist in Athens, AL with experience helping little smiles, then Doctors Network is ready to help you.

Checkups and cleanings should begin as soon as all twenty baby teeth erupt, and continue every six months. These visits enable your Athens pediatric dentist to keep track of your child’s dental development, and if areas of concern develop, such as tooth decay, or gingivitis, then treatment might be required. In addition, kids can often receive preventive fluoride treatments to strengthen the outer enamel of their dentition and prevent tooth cavities. Sealants, which coat the hard-to-reach rear teeth, can lower the risk of cavities too. In fact, sealants can provide protection against tooth cavities for as long as a decade in some cases.

If you are searching for dentists in Athens who can provide children’s dentistry, contact us. We want to help you find a dentist in your area. With routine care kids not only enjoy healthy and strong smiles, but they also understand the value of caring for their smiles. Checkups and cleanings can start them on the path to a lifetime of healthy smiles. All of it starts with that initial dental exam. So, use our search tool to find the best dentist for you and your children!

Using digital technology for a precise diagnosis, the dentist will assess the cause of your cosmetic concerns to come up with a personalized treatment plan. Gum contouring utilizes laser technology to reshape the gum line and manage gum disease. Porcelain veneers are cosmetic restorations that change a tooth’s shape and color, and for those with malocclusion, braces might be the treatment of choice.

According to studies by the CDC, over half of adults older than 30 suffer from poor periodontal health. Without treatment, this disease could lead to painful symptoms, including red and bleeding gums. The advanced stage, known as periodontitis, could also cause the loss of your teeth. This is why care from a Athens dental specialist is necessary when you begin to notice sore and bleeding gums. We can help by connecting you to one that accepts new patients. After all, your smile needs regular attention!

How does the poor gum health come about? The early stages of periodontitis could occur due to lack of proper brushing and flossing. Some could develop it due to lack of dental cleaning visits, or due to gingivitis, tobacco use, certain medications, or even other family members with poor gum health. As we touched on above, tell-tell signs include sore and bleeding gums. By seeing a dentist in Athens, AL you can receive periodontal treatments like gum grafting to bring relief and improve your oral health. These treatments could be accepted by insurance plans.

If you notice these signs, or if you simply haven’t been to a dentist in the last six months, you should book an appointment. At Doctors Network, we can make sure you find dentists in Athens who accept new patients. Good oral health is always an option, and we can help connect you to your new dentist!

It is essential for children to visit a pediatric dentist on a biannual basis for dental visits and cleanings. By teaching kids great oral health habits, you are ensuring that they have the skills to have healthy smiles for many years. If you are looking for a pediatric dental office in Athens who takes patients with no dental coverge, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering exams and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kids with dental sealants. Sealants are thin layers of film that go on top of their back teeth. They work as a protective film that forms a barrier between their back molars and harmful germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of cavities by up to 80 percent. It is a simple procedure that is very effective at preventing cavities in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another effective tool that your pediatric dentists provide. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps strengthen your children’s teeth. While enamel is one of the most protective substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your kid’s teeth become more susceptible to decay. This procedure helps mitigate this damage. Using high-fluoride toothpaste can also help. For more information, please schedule an appointment with one of our network dental professionals in Athens.

Many people would prefer to have a whiter smile. When you venture down the aisles of any drug store, you see myriad products that promote their teeth whitening abilities. If you have tried any of these, you know that they almost always provide unsatisfying results. However, professional teeth whitening can actually give you a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Athens, AL that accepts patients with no dental insurance, we can help you find one that offers professional whitening.

When you visit your Athens dental practice, they can provide you with either an in-office or even at-home treatment. If you choose the in-office treatment, you will have brighter teeth within about an hour. For this option, your dentist will apply a gel solution to your teeth that they will then activate with a special light, to remove stains.

If you would prefer to get an at-home treatment, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill up with a safe peroxide solution. You will put these on for a few hours each day for roughly 2 weeks. Once this treatment is complete, you will have a whiter and brighter smile. If you would like to schedule a visit with a Athens dentist that takes patients with no dental insurance, we can help you find a great one.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
