I truly love the staff at Schambeau Dental Care in Bessemer, AL. Everyone is so nice, and the dentist is super friendly. I went to this office a few years ago, but because I was pregnant at the time, they couldn’t treat me right away. So they told me to come back after I had the baby, but it completely slipped my mind. Well, I went today, and the hygienist did my cleaning and explained everything thoroughly. Dr. Schambeau was as nice as always and took me through my treatment plan. Lastly, the receptionist showed me the bill and offered multiple payment options. Since I’m about to buy a home, I need to be careful with spending, but they were very accommodating to my needs. I don’t like to go to the dentist, but when I do need to go, Schambeau Dental Care is the only place I go! I love it there!

Grownups are not the only ones who benefit from family dentistry. Kids need routine preventive dentistry as well, and they need to be monitored by a pediatric dentist for issues like tooth decay. This could include dental malocclusion, or for teens, the arrival of wisdom teeth. If you need to schedule an appointment online with a pediatric dentist in Homewood, AL with experience providing pediatric dental care, then Doctors Network is ready to help you.

Checkups and cleanings should begin when all baby teeth come in, and should be scheduled twice a year. These visits enable your Homewood pediatric dentist to watch the smile over time, and if areas of concern develop, such as toothaches, or gingivitis, then intervention might be needed. In addition, kids can often receive preventive fluoride treatments to strengthen the outer enamel of their dentition and prevent tooth caries. Dental sealants, which coat the occlusal surfaces of the posterior teeth, can lower the risk of cavities too. In fact, sealants can provide protection against tooth cavities for as long as ten years in some cases.

If you are searching for dentists in Homewood who can treat your entire family, contact us. We want to help you find a dentist in your area. With routine care kids not only can enjoy healthy smiles, but they also understand the value of good oral hygiene. These visits can start them on the path to a lifetime of healthy smiles. All of it starts with that first checkup and cleaning. So, use our search tool to find the right practice for you and your family!

According to studies by the CDC, over half of adults ages 30 and older suffer from gingival disease. Without treatment, this disease could lead to painful symptoms, including red and bleeding gums. The advanced stage, also known as periodontitis, could also cause missing teeth. This is why care from a Homewood dentist is necessary when you begin to exhibit the common warning signs. We can help by connecting you to one that accepts new patients. After all, we all benefit from routine dental care!

How does the poor gum health come about? The early stages of periodontitis could occur due to poor oral hygiene habits. Some could develop it due to infrequent dental cleanings, or due to tobacco use, inflammatory illness, certain medications, or even gum disease in other family members. As we touched on above, tell-tell signs include sore, red, and bleeding gums. By seeing a dentist in Homewood, AL you can receive periodontal treatments like scaling and root planing to bring relief and improve your oral health. These treatment options could be covered by insurance plans.

If you recognize these symptoms, or if you simply haven’t been to a dentist in the last six months, you should book an appointment. At Doctors Network, we can find the right dentists in Homewood who accept new patients. Strong periodontal health is always possible, and we can help help you find the help you need!

It is important for kids to visit the dentist bi-yearly for dental visits and cleanings. By teaching your children how to take care of their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the skills to have healthy smiles for ever. If you are looking for a dental office in Homewood who accepts new patients, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering exams and cleanings, pediatric dentists on Doctors Network also provide your little children with dental sealants. These are thin pieces of film that go over their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a shield between their adult molars and harmful bacteria. This ultimately prevents the risk of tooth decay by up to 80%. It is a simple procedure that is very effective at preventing the need for fillings in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another proven tool that your dentists provide. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps strengthen your child’s teeth. While enamel is one of the most protective substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your kid’s teeth become more susceptible to decay. Fluoride treatment helps stop decay from occurring. Using high-fluoride toothpaste can also help. To learn more, please schedule an appointment with one of our pediatric dentists in Homewood.

Many individuals would be elated to have a whiter smile. When you walk down the aisles of any grocery store, you see myriad products that advertise their teeth whitening abilities. If you have purchased any of these, you know that they almost always provide unsatisfying results. However, professional tooth bleaching can actually produce a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Homewood, AL that takes patients without dental insurance, we can help you find one that offers professional teeth whitening.

When you visit your Homewood dental care provider, they can provide you with either an in-office or even at-home treatment. Should you opt for treatment in the office, you will only have to stay for roughly an hour. When you come in, your dentist will apply a bleaching gel to your front teeth that is then activated with a specialized light that removes discoloration.

If you would prefer to go with whitening from the comfort of your home, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can use along with a safe whitening solution. You will put these on for a couple of hours each day for approximately two weeks. Once this treatment is done, you will have a brighter smile. If you would like to schedule a visit with a Homewood dentist that accepts patients without dental insurance, we can help you find a great one.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
