Sharleen B.

After going to my usual dentist for 6 years, I got really sick of waiting for them to get to my appointment, hasty cleaning and procedures, and incomplete dental assessments, so I started looking for a new dentist. I’m so glad I went to Schambeau Dental Care in Bessemer, AL! The second I set foot in the office, all the staff members were extremely friendly and very helpful, answering any questions I had. After waiting only 2 minutes, they took me to the back. They thoroughly but quickly assessed my gums and teeth. Afterward, Dr. Schambeau told me that I needed a crown on one of my teeth. He taught me what the crown is used for and even explained what he was seeing in my x-rays. After I gave him the go-ahead, he started the procedure the same day, placing a temporary crown over my tooth. Dr. Schambeau was fantastic! I didn’t even have any pain during the procedure, and he and the hygienist were both very conscientious. They told me my permanent crown would be ready in 2 weeks, but it was actually done in under 1 week. I just had my permanent crown placed, and I can honestly say that Schambeau Dental Care did a fantastic job. I highly recommend them to all my family and friends!

As kids, we lose our deciduous teeth over time. However, as adults, losing teeth is often due to injury. The advanced stage of gum disease is the number one cause. Since missing teeth at adulthood isn’t natural, this means oral health complications. You could have difficulties with nutritional intake. Problems speaking clearly may develop. Finally, you could risk negative changes to your smile alignment, or even your youthful features. You need an amazing in-network dentist in Homewood, AL who can provide prosthetic dentistry. Fortunately, Doctors Network can help you on the road to a full smile.

First, we will help connect you to a dentist in your location who accepts your insurance. Then, your new dentist can examine your smile to assess your missing teeth. For less severe cases, a dental bridge could be the best option, addressing one to three missing teeth in a row. For multiple missing teeth, partial dentures could offer a solution and rebuild your smile. Finally, a complete set of dentures could be crafted and secured. While most fulls and partial dentures are removable, they could be supported with tooth implants. Dental implants essentially look and function like natural teeth, and stimulate bone preservation in your jaw and facial structure following losing a tooth.

If you live in the Homewood‘s proximity and have unsightly gaps in your smile, let us help. We can get you started on receiving the tooth replacement you need. A full smile is possible, even if you’ve lost all of your teeth, and even if many years have elapsed since that happened!

P. S. Please celebrate our dental surgeons in Nashville, TN with us this week.

It is important for your little ones to visit a pediatric dentist on a biannual basis for exams and cleanings. By teaching your kids preventative measures to protect their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the tools to have healthy smiles for many years. If you are looking for a pediatric dentist in Homewood who takes uninsured patients, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering examinations and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kid with dental sealants. These are small pieces of BPA-free acrylic that dentists paint onto their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a shield between their adult molars and germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of tooth decay by up to 80 percent. It is a simple tool that is very effective at preventing cavities on adult teeth in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another effective tool that your pediatric dental professionals provide. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps strengthen your children’s enamel layer. While enamel is one of the strongest substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your little one’s teeth become more susceptible to decay. Fluoride treatment prevents this from happening. Using toothpaste that has fluoride can also help. For more information, please schedule an appointment with one of our dental practices in Homewood.

Many people would be ecstatic to have a whiter smile. When you venture down the aisles of any pharmacy, you see countless products that promote their teeth whitening abilities. If you have used any of these, you know that they almost always provide disappointing results. However, professional teeth whitening can actually provide a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Homewood, AL that takes patients without dental insurance, we can help you find one that offers professional tooth whitening.

When you visit your Homewood dentist, they can provide you with either an at-home or in-office treatment. With the in-office option, you will typically be out within about an hour, and you will have noticeably whiter teeth. When you come in, your dentist will apply a bleaching gel to your front teeth that is then activated with a specialized light that removes discoloration.

If you would prefer to go with whitening at home, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can use along with a safe bleaching or peroxide solution. You will wear these for one or two hours each day for roughly 2 weeks. Once this treatment is complete, you will have a more radiant smile. If you would like to request an appointment online with a Homewood dentist that takes patients without dental insurance, we can help you find the best ones.

If it has been at least half a year since you last went to a dentist, you should schedule a consultation soon. When you go in for bi-annual checkups, your dentist can closely examine your teeth to make sure nothing is awry. This helps prevent decay from occurring, minimizing the chance of needing more invasive procedures in the future. Once your cleaning is done, your Homewood dentist will begin his examination. During this portion of your visit, the dentist will thoroughly look at your dentition to identify any potential complications. In case anything is out of the ordinary, they can suggest the proper treatment. The Homewood dental practice we set you up with will offer a myriad of services to address a variety of dental needs. Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
