Dr. Badlani fell in love with New England during her time at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Medical Dentistry. She previously earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Miami, but the cooler climate of the northeast called to her. Upon graduating from Boston University, Dr. Badlani practiced general dentistry in New York City, Boston, and Pittsburgh for over 10 years at a variety of dental practices. This gave her a very strong foundation in comprehensive dental care and clinical experience.

She opened her practice, Central Maine Dentistry, in 2017. Since then, she has been providing high-quality comprehensive dental care in a welcoming and comfortable environment. She is dedicated to serving her patients to the best of her ability, ensuring that their visit is nothing but positive.

As a practicing dentist, Dr. Badlani is a strong advocate for continuing education. She frequently attends additional dental training to keep herself up-to-date on the latest dental techniques and procedures. Dr. Brittney Bell is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Maine Dental Association. Her interest in dentistry first appeared at the age of four when she visited her family dentist for the first time. Since then, she has been on the fast track to professional dentistry.

Dr. Bell graduated as a Salutatorian from Poland Regional High School in 2009. She completed her bachelor’s in biology degree in 2013 from Colby College. She was a dedicated track-and-field athlete, competing at the national level. She worked in local dentists' offices for the next two years while matriculating at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine. She was awarded by the faculty the Academic Achievement Award and earned Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honors. She graduated top of her class in 2019. She has been passionately providing her patients with top-quality dentistry since then.

Dr. Jay Weitecha is a dentist with a passion for community outreach. His time spent out-of-office is dedicated to numerous dental organizations and programs that improve the quality of dental treatment in his community and throughout Maine. He has been an active member of the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, The McGrath Pond Salmon Lake Association (MPSLA), and Waterville's Community Dental Center. He has also spent time as a board member, vice president, and president of the Maine Academy of General Dentistry, and editor of The Pine Tree General Practitioner. He has also been secretary/treasurer of the Kennebec Valley Dental Society, a local branch of the Maine Dental Association. Currently, Dr. Weitecha and his younger partner, Dr. Joe Dumont, are co-chairs for the Maine AGD continuing education programs through which they promote first-rate continuing education courses every year.

Dr. Weitecha discovered his interest in dentistry at a young age. After graduating high school, he spent time working in the orthodontic practice run by his friend's father. He graduated from the University of San Diego in 1996 with a degree in biology. Dr. Weitecha then went on to Tufts School of Dental Medicine where he earned his dental degree. He completed a five-week externship in Togus, Maine, with the Veterans Association Hospital and fell in love with the state, deciding that one day he would open his practice there.

After graduating, Dr. Weitecha earned Mastership and Fellowship awards from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). He earned a Fellowship award from the International Congress of Implantology (ICOI). When he is not working with patients in the office or volunteering at the many organizations he is a part of, Dr. Weitecha attends continuing education programs that keep him current with the latest dental discoveries. He has completed programs with The Misch Implant Institute, The Dawson Academy, The New England Mastertrack, and Spear Education. He trained with Dr. Laliberte before becoming a mentor himself for Dr. Vayanos and Dr. Dumont.

Dr. David H. Pier is recognized in the dental field for his leadership in patient relationships and restorative dentistry. He doesn’t only enjoy helping his patients achieve the smiles of their dreams but is also passionate about furthering dentistry science. Dr. Pier has traveled around the US giving presentations on topics related to the Bioclear technique, direct composite dentistry, and interpersonal communication skills for better communication with patients. He also worked at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine as an assistant professor for six years. To stay current with the latest dental techniques and technologies, Dr. Pier completes over 100 hours of continuing education courses per year. That’s five times more hours than the required amount.

Dr. Pier earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Bates College. He then attended Farleigh Dickenson University School of Dentistry as well as a General Practice Residency program in Morristown, New Jersey. Soon after, Dr. Pier became a practicing dentist with Glen Cove Dental Associates where he worked for 20 years with well-known dentists Dr. Bill Barbour, Dr. Michael Dougherty, Dr. Mike Hersom, and Dr. Deb Endl. He left the practice to open Mount Pleasant Dental Care in 2004 where he continues to work today.

Dr. Clifton Hodges has unique experience working in both the public health sector and in private practice. His experience includes treating patients of all ages and of all medical conditions. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Hodges earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan in 2008. Since then, he has been a member of the Lewis County Dental Society, the Maine Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, the Merrymeeting Bay Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Association. He has served as an appointed delegate to the Washington State Dental Association and president of his component dental society. Dr. Hodges also spent time with the Northwest Precedent Research Network helping to advance evidence-based dentistry. In his free time, he volunteered with the National Health Service Corps to provide dental care to those in need.
