Doctors Network

The state of Kentucky is rich in U.S. history. It is the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln, as well as being home to the Kentucky Derby and the original Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant, and much more. Today, over 4.4 million residents are proud to call the Bluegrass State home for much more than just its historical significance. With a relatively low cost of living and a thriving agricultural and industrial economy, Kentucky is one of the best places to raise a family. To make it even better, dentists across the state have teamed with Doctors Network to help all of their patients substantially lower their families’ dental health care costs.

Doctors Network

The preventive benefits of attending regular checkups and cleanings can have a significant impact on more than just your oral health. For instance, biannual checkups and cleanings are often enough to keep a healthy smile, but if you falter in your schedule, then dental issues can form that require more expensive treatment. In Kentucky, seven percent of residents do not have dental insurance, and therefore may not be able to afford treatment. For patients with insurance, their coverage may still leave them with unexpectedly high out-of-pocket expenses. With a direct dental plan from Doctors Network and local Kentucky dentists, families can significantly lighten the burden of dental health care costs, whether or not they already have dental insurance. Membership in the network guarantees that every checkup and cleaning appointment you attend only costs $25 per visit, and every other procedure you receive is discounted, often by up to 90%.

Who is Dr. Charles Crowl DDS, FADIA?

Dr. Charles Crowl's journey into dentistry was influenced by his own experiences as a child requiring extensive dental work, which initially made him apprehensive about dental visits. This dentist’s gentle approach and clear communication transformed Dr. Crowl’s perception of dental care, showing him that it didn’t have to be painful. This pivotal moment inspired him to become the kind of dentist who could change patients’ attitudes toward their own dental experiences.

To achieve this, Dr. Crowl fosters a warm and inviting environment in his practice, encouraging patients to feel empowered and confident about their smiles. He treats each individual with care and attention, ensuring they are recognized as more than just a number. His focus is on helping people regain their confidence through the latest advancements in dental technology.

Dr. Crowl attended Michigan State University before entering an early enrollment program at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Dentistry. Volunteering and travel are also significant passions for Dr. Crowl. He enjoys exploring both locally and internationally, often seeking opportunities to combine his love for travel with dentistry through dental mission trips. He is dedicated to demonstrating to patients, near and far, that dentistry can be a compassionate and caring experience. Dr. Crowl is committed to always prioritizing the best interests of his patients.

What is dental cleaning?

i
implant-follower-726

If you take good care of your teeth, you may be wondering why your dentist says you need this appointment every 6 months. There are several dental problems that you may miss at an early stage. They may not cause any pain, and may not demonstrate any visible signs. However, a dental prophylaxis appointment (teeth cleaning visit) can help your dentist diagnose these dental problems at an early stage. The term dental cleaning (prophylaxis) encompasses several techniques that are used by most dental personnel to professionally remove plaque, stain, and calculus (tartar) from patients’ teeth. Oftentimes, the toothbrush coronal polish (i.e. toothbrush and toothpaste) is a procedure that is used to remove plaque from teeth surfaces and demonstrate brushing techniques to caregivers for young kids and for patients with special needs who cannot tolerate using a rubber cup. The rubber cup coronal polish is a treatment in which a dental polishing paste is rubbed onto tooth surfaces with a rotary bristle brush or rotary rubber cup to remove plaque and stains from your teeth. Dental scaling is a procedure where hand or ultrasonic instruments are used to remove calculus or tartar and stains. Full mouth debridement may be needed as a preliminary treatment for those patients whose medical, psychological, physical, or periodontal conditions result in calculus accumulation beyond the scope of routine prophylaxis (regular teeth cleanings). These procedures expedite the clinical examination and introduce dental services to the patient. Also, the accompanying preventive appointment demonstrates proper oral hygiene techniques to the patient and/or caregivers. Flossing is an essential part of the prophylaxis that removes interproximal and subgingival (under the gum) plaque, aiding in educating the patient and enhancing the oral examination.

It was so easy to find a doctor and make an appointment. I didn't have to take hours to call different offices and find out who takes my insurance and who doesn't.

I'm a freelancer, so I can't buy insurance easily, so I always ended up paying a lot for doctors' visits. I signed up for a Doctors Network dental plan, and my dental cleanings cost only $25 now. If you don't have dental insurance I highly recommend it.

I fell off my bike and chipped my front tooth. I was able to find and book an appointment online right away. Next time I need an appointment I'll try Doctors Network again.
