Rhode Island is the smallest of the United States, though its importance to America’s history is undeniable. For instance, the Battle of Rhode Island marked the first attempt at cooperation between the French and U.S. against British forces. The founder of Rhode Island, Roger Williams, was also credited by Thomas Jefferson and John Adams as the inspiration behind the First Amendment. Today, Rhode Island is home to nearly 1.1 million residents, and taking care of their families is equally important. This is why dentists across the Ocean State have teamed up with Doctors Network to help their patients more easily afford the high-quality dental care they deserve. Through dental plans offered directly by their dentists, patients can enjoy unprecedented discounts on their dental treatments, from preventive visits to cosmetic, restorative, and prosthetic restorations, and more.

As the state that pioneered polo and the first open golf tournament in the United States, Rhode Islanders know about health and fitness. In fact, less than 6.7% of the population lacks insurance. Nevertheless, dental health insurance is not always adequate for patients who do have it, especially when unique dental issues develop and require expensive treatment. The direct dental plans that Doctors Network offers ensures Rhode Islanders that taking good care of their dental health doesn’t have to be a costly experience. Under the plan, dental checkup and cleaning appointments are only $25 per visit, and include X-rays when necessary at no additional cost. Patients who want to improve or need to restore their smiles can save up to 90% on treatments such as teeth-whitening, Invisalign® aligners, tooth-colored fillings, dental implants, and much more.

Rhode Island’s place in history has already been set, but that doesn’t mean today’s residents can’t set their own legacy. Direct dental plans from Doctors Network offer a revolutionary way for patients to pay for exceptional dental health care, and they operate independently of insurance so as not to interfere with existing coverage. To learn how you can sign up, speak with your dentist about a direct dental plan during your next appointment. Or, visit our website at www.doctorsnetwork.com and select a Rhode Island dentist who is already a part of Doctors Network.

What are dental implants?

t
tongue-dancer-510

Dental implants are used to replace missing teeth, and they can last for many decades with proper oral hygiene. They are made from titanium alloys, which does not contain nickel and cobalt. This means that they are biocompatible and will not irritate gums. These tooth implants restore tooth functions and aesthetics and promote bone preservation and healing. If you are missing one or multiple of your teeth, dental implants can be the best option. They can also help people who have difficulties masticating, speaking, breathing, and swallowing. Implants can be used to improve patients' oral health, appearance, and quality of life. Implants are false teeth replacements that attach to the gum and bone tissue by means of screws or crowns. The screw is inserted into the jawbone. The crown is attached onto the implant. It is then capped with either a porcelain or porcelain fused to metal crown. There are different kinds of dental implants. Some are more longer lasting while others are less durable. There are two main types of dental implants: the Osseointegrated Dental Implants, and the Endosteal Dental Implants. • Osseointegrated implants use bone to connect to the implant. • Endosteal Implants rely on a separate crown and Artificial Bone. Osseointegrated Dental Implants are popular since they are more effective at restoring teeth that have been lost. They are stronger and look more natural looking than an endosteal implants. The titanium-ceramic dental implants are made of pure Titanium with an outer ceramic or porcelain coat. These implants can replace a single tooth or be used to support implant supported dentures. The titanium-zirconium implants ore dental implants are made using both zirconium and titanium oxide. There are other types of dental implants each designed to serve a specific purpose.

It was so easy to find a doctor and make an appointment. I didn't have to take hours to call different offices and find out who takes my insurance and who doesn't.

I'm a freelancer, so I can't buy insurance easily, so I always ended up paying a lot for doctors' visits. I signed up for a Doctors Network dental plan, and my dental cleanings cost only $25 now. If you don't have dental insurance I highly recommend it.

I fell off my bike and chipped my front tooth. I was able to find and book an appointment online right away. Next time I need an appointment I'll try Doctors Network again.
