Dr. Pedram Sooferi discovered his passion for healthcare while attending Santa Monica College. He graduated from SMC two years later, and went on to earn his Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Los Angeles California. After earning the Dean’s Scholariship, Dr. Sooferi was accepted into UCLA’s School of Dentistry, on of the best dental schools in the country.

As a practicing dentist today, Dr. Sooferi continues to stay updated on current dentistry practices and techniques by attending continuing education courses. He has taken courses in cosmetic dentistry and envisaging orthodontics. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in integrative biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and worked as a research associate for five years at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Martinez then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University School of Dentistry. He then went on to graduate from USC School of Dentistry in 1962 at the age of 25. Afterward, Dr. Schnierow further honed his skills while serving in the Army, where he gained invaluable experience. In 1964, Dr. Schnierow opened his own practice in Hawthorne, where he has had the privilege of treating multiple generations of families—many of whom now bring in their grandchildren for care. Over the years, he has been blessed with a devoted and talented staff, whom he considers part of his extended dental family. Dr. Daryn Nishikawa earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine (UCI), before pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the prestigious Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California (USC). Following graduation, he completed a General Practice Residency at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), at the Ronald Reagan Hospital, where he gained specialized training in hospital-based dentistry. This experience focused on treating medically complex patients and caring for individuals with special needs.

After finishing his residency, Dr. Nishikawa spent time teaching at USC's School of Dentistry and working in private practice. In 2016, he helped develop the dental clinic at SpaceX in Hawthorne, serving as the lead dentist for two and a half years. In 2018, Dr. Nishikawa proudly became the owner of his own dental practice, where he continues to offer high-quality care to both the general public and patients with special needs in the South Bay area.

Additionally, Dr. Nishikawa has a strong background in Sports Dentistry, having volunteered as the Associate Team Dentist for the MLS Chivas USA team (2012-2015) and the MLS Los Angeles Football Club (2018-present). Personal Life

A lifelong Southern California resident and native of the South Bay, Dr. Nishikawa lives in Torrance with his wife, Dr. Camille, a pediatric dentist, and their son, Broderick (“Brodie”). The family enjoys spending time outdoors with their rescue dog, Harvey, and going on hikes. When they're not juggling family life, Dr. Daryn and Dr. Camille are passionate about playing golf, traveling, and attending USC football, Dodgers, Lakers, and LAFC games. On weekends, they can often be found strolling through Riviera Village, enjoying the local community and spending quality time with their families.

Dr. Steve Yabuno has been dedicated to meeting the dental needs of Torrance residents since opening his practice in 1981. Originally from the Big Island of Hawaii, Dr. Yabuno was raised in Los Angeles. He pursued his undergraduate studies in Biochemistry at UCLA before earning his dental degree from the prestigious UCLA School of Dentistry in 1980. To further enhance his expertise, he completed a one-year residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Long Beach.
