Lisa C.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Schambeau at Schambeau Dental Care for a while now. They have a fully staffed, very professional office. The hygienists and doctors are all highly skilled. In my opinion, they’re the best dental practice in Bessemer, AL! I’m 58 years old and have lived in a lot of places, which means I’ve had a lot of dentists. Schambeau Dental Care cured my gum disease, fixed all my teeth, and replaced the mercury fillings that a previous dentist had done. Since seeing Dr. Schambeau nine years ago, I’ve received so many compliments on my smile. Everyone at the office is always positive and empathetic, and they truly care about you. Sometimes, I even ask for more mouthwash, hoping that whatever they drink to make them like this rubs off on me. Seriously, though, this is the best dental practice around. If you go anywhere else, take comfort in knowing that it might be the second best dental office, but why risk it?

dental-implants-or-bridge

As adolescents, we lose our primary teeth as a natural part of growing up. However, as adults, losing teeth means poor oral health. Periodontal disease could be responsible as well. Since missing teeth at this age isn’t natural, this means oral health complications. You could have difficulties consuming solid foods. Problems articulating clearly may develop. Finally, you could risk damages to your smile, or even your facial structure. You need a professional and friendly private dentist in West Fairfield, AL who can provide prosthetic dentistry. Fortunately, Doctors Network can help find a local dentist.

First, we will connect you to an amazing dentist in your area. Once we do, your new dentist can examine your smile to assess your missing teeth. For minor cases, a dental bridge could be the best option, addressing one to three lost teeth in a row. For several gaps, partials could offer a solution and restore bite function. Finally, a complete denture could be custom-made. While most fulls and partials are removable, they could be stablized with long-lasting dental implants. Dental implants are secured like natural teeth, and preserve bone density in your mandible and maxilla and facial structure following tooth loss.

If you live in the West Fairfield‘s proximity and have unsightly gaps in your smile, let us help. We can help you get started on receiving a dental prosthetic. A full smile is possible, even if you’ve suffered complete tooth loss, and even if many years have elapsed since that happened!

P. S. Please applaud our dental surgeons in Nashville, TN with us this week.

sleep-apnea-treatment

When you have a sleep disorder, you may not assume a dentist near you could help. In fact, dentists can provide a non-invasive option to treat sleep apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) means that when you sleep, the soft palate and the back of your mouth collapse and cause you to stop breathing. Patients literally stop breathing briefly until the brain alerts the body to resume breathing. Even as you think you slept well, you could feel tired! But when is it time to contact Doctors Network and find West Fairfield, AL dentists who offer OSA treatment?

Warning signs could include chronic snoring. Daytime headaches, and even trouble with interpersonal relationships could be factors too. Without intervention, OSA could even affect your immune system and heart health. When you suffer similar symptoms, consider talking to a dentist. Often, oral appliance therapy can be helpful as a CPAP alternative, so you can finally enjoy a good night’s rest.

This week we are honoring our dentists near New York.

tooth-bonding

If you have a fractured tooth or one that is misshapen or stained, then you could benefit from dental treatment. With tooth reshaping and dental bonding in West Fairfield, AL, these cosmetic imperfections can be corrected in only one sitting. At Doctors Network, we can help connect you with a dental professional in West Fairfield, AL who takes new patients and provides the comprehensive treatments you need. You may not be aware just how much bonding and contouring can do in a single visit.

Dental restoration repairs aesthetic concerns using a metal-free material. The material, a blend of glass-like and acrylic particles, is shaded and applied to the teeth. West Fairfield dentists also use the same material to repair dental caries. During dental contouring, the dentist actually sands and polishes the outer tooth surfaces to correct your damaged or malformed tooth.

This week we are celebrating our Brooklyn dental practices. Between these two dental services, these dentists will be able to reshape malformed teeth, repair dental damage, mask stains on teeth, and even close gaps between teeth.

Periodontal disease is very widespread. In fact, studies from the Centers for Disease Control reveal that fifty percent of adults over the age of thirty suffer from the disease. Without treatment, gum disease could impact smile stability. Known as periodontitis, this is actually one of the most common causes of missing teeth. All that to say, when you develop changes in your gums, you need to see a professional as soon as possible. Inflamed and receding gums, especially with bleeding, are common indicators that you need to see a West Fairfield community dental provider.

Doctor Network’s search engine can facilitate finding affordable dental offices in West Fairfield AL that accept new patients and can offer a treatment plan after a dental examination. If there is a presence of gingivitis or gum disease, then a treatment plan can be created. For less severe cases, a scaling and root planing followed by traditional cleanings every three or four months could help you avoid tooth loss. For the later stages of the disease, there are options like laser dentistry, gum grafts, and more to restore your gums!

As children, many of us grind our teeth for short periods of time. The issue tends to pass on its own. But for some, bruxism could mean the issue persists into and throughout adolescence, and the pressure from clenching your teeth could damage your smile. Chipped teeth and cracks could leave your smile vulnerable. You’re also more likely to develop cavities or even dental infection, which is why if you notice changes to your teeth, you should consider using Doctors Network’s search tool to book an appointment with a dentist in West Fairfield.

Your partner or spouse may let you know that you have bruxism when you sleep. Otherwise, symptoms could include toothaches and tooth sensitivity. Treatment options vary. Some dentists bring relief by addressing the oral health issues behind your bruxism. They could correct misalignment with braces, or even replace missing teeth with prosthetics. Many offer treatment with custom and comfortable occlusal night guards. So don’t ignore the possible warning signs, talk to us about finding the right dentist in your area who accepts private patients.

You can’t put a price on showing off a perfect smile, but as we age, most of us struggle with missing teeth. Missing teeth could lead to difficulty with eating and speaking, and can even lead to an older appearance. To treat missing teeth, people often turn to implant-supported prosthetics. Unlike traditional prosthetics, such as bridges or removable dentures, these are connected to posts placed into your jaw. Crowns or even prosthetics like full and partial dentures are locked into these implant posts. These then act as new roots, so your new teeth can last not ten years, but possibly a lifetime with proper care.

Are you ready to tackle your tooth loss with dental implants? If you are wondering how much dental implants cost near you in West Fairfield, you are not alone, but firstly, you need to find a West Fairfield dentist who can offer surgical placement of dental implants. Doctors Network’s search tool can help you with this, connecting you to a dental professional who not only can address your tooth loss, but also takes walk-in patients. You can even register for a Doctors Network dental plan to decrease the cost of your treatment.

The dentist will take a close look at your smile. Underlying issues like gum disease may need to be addressed before moving forward. But once completed, your dental implants will offer replacement teeth that look and function like natural teeth!

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
