Lisa C.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Schambeau at Schambeau Dental Care for a while now. They have a fully staffed, very professional office. The hygienists and doctors are all highly skilled. In my opinion, they’re the best dental practice in Bessemer, AL! I’m 58 years old and have lived in a lot of places, which means I’ve had a lot of dentists. Schambeau Dental Care cured my gum disease, fixed all my teeth, and replaced the mercury fillings that a previous dentist had done. Since seeing Dr. Schambeau nine years ago, I’ve received so many compliments on my smile. Everyone at the office is always positive and empathetic, and they truly care about you. Sometimes, I even ask for more mouthwash, hoping that whatever they drink to make them like this rubs off on me. Seriously, though, this is the best dental practice around. If you go anywhere else, take comfort in knowing that it might be the second best dental office, but why risk it?

dental-implants-or-bridge

As kids, we lose our baby teeth as a natural part of growing up. However, as adults, losing teeth is caused by oral health issues. Periodontitis is the number one cause. Since missing teeth at adulthood isn’t natural, this means issues with smile stability. You could have difficulties consuming solid foods. Problems talking clearly may develop. Finally, you could risk negative changes to your smile alignment, or even your facial structure. You need a professional and friendly private dentist in Wilkes, AL who can correct your tooth loss. Fortunately, Doctors Network can help find a local dentist.

First, we will help connect you to a dedicated dentist near you. After that, your new dentist can inspect your smile to diagnose the conditions for your tooth loss. For less severe cases, a dental bridge could be placed, providing lifelike results. For multiple missing teeth, partial dentures could offer a solution and restore bite function. Finally, a complete set of dentures could be custom-made. While most fulls and partial dentures are removable, they could be stablized with titanium implants. Dental implants act as natural teeth, and preserve bone density in your maxilla and mandible and facial structure following missing a tooth.

If you live in the Wilkes area and need a solution for tooth loss, let us help. We can help you get started on receiving a dental prosthetic. Model-worthy teeth are within reach, even if you’ve lost all of your teeth, and even if years have elapsed since that happened!

P. S. Please applaud our dentists in Nashville, TN with us this week.

sleep-apnea-treatment

When you experience a poor sleeping pattern, you may not assume a dentist near you could help. But in fact, dentists can often provide a non-invasive option to help you breathe better while sleeping. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) means that when you sleep, the soft tissues in the throat and the tissues around the throat collapse and cause you to stop breathing. People actually stop breathing briefly until the brain alerts the body to resume breathing. Even as you think you slept well, you could experience daytime drowsiness! But when is it necessary to talk to Doctors Network and find Wilkes, AL dentists who could offer treatment with oral appliance therapy?

Signs and symptoms of sleep apnea include loud and frequent snoring. Daytime drowsiness, and even irritability could occur too. With no treatment, sleep apnea could even affect your immune system and your cardiovascular health. When you suffer similar signs, consider finding out your treatment options. Sometimes, oral appliance therapy can be helpful to keep airways free of obstruction, so you can finally sleep comfortably.

This week we are celebrating our dental care providers near Manhattan, NY.

There is no substitute for a full smile, but as we get older, most of us struggle with the loss of natural teeth. Missing teeth could lead to trouble with eating and speaking, and can even lead to a prematurely aged appearance. To treat missing teeth, people often turn to dental implants. Unlike traditional prosthetics, such as dentures or fixed partial dentures, these are connected to posts placed into your jaw. Crowns or even prosthetics like bridges are locked into these implant posts. These then act as new roots, so your new teeth can last not ten years, but several decades with proper care and attention.

Are you ready to tackle your tooth loss with dental implants? If you want to know how much dental implants cost near you in Wilkes, you are not alone, but first, you should find a Wilkes dentist who can offer prosthetic dentistry. Doctors Network’s search tool can help you with this, connecting you to a dentist who not only can address your concerns about missing teeth, but also accepts patients without dental insurance. Same-day appointments are usually available. You can even sign up for a Doctors Network dental plan to reduce the cost of your procedure.

The dentist will take a close look at your smile. Underlying issues such as periodontitis may need to be treated before moving forward. But once completed, your dental implants will offer replacement teeth that look and function like natural teeth!

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
