She previously earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Miami, but the cooler climate of the northeast called to her. Upon graduating from Boston University, Dr. Badlani practiced general dentistry in New York City, Boston, and Pittsburgh for over 10 years at a variety of dental practices. This gave her a very strong foundation in comprehensive dental care and clinical experience.

As a practicing dentist, Dr. Badlani is a strong advocate for continuing education. She frequently attends additional dental training to keep herself up-to-date on the latest dental techniques and procedures. Dr. Rachel Taddeo discovered her passion for public service through dentistry and has devoted much of her time throughout her career to serving the underprivileged. Dr. Taddeo began in Philadelphia, PA, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in biology at Saint Joseph’s University. She then attended Temple University School of Dental Medicine to earn her master’s degree and Doctor of Dental Medicine.

Following her education, Dr. Taddeo joined the Micmac Service Unit of the Indian Health Services in Presque Isle, Maine, as their first Chief Dental Officer. Providing top-quality care to those in need was a highlight of her career and has become one of the foundations of her practice. Since coming to Maine five years ago, she has fallen in love with the state and hopes to be practicing here for many years to come.

Dr. Jay Weitecha is a dentist with a passion for community outreach. His time spent out-of-office is dedicated to numerous dental organizations and programs that improve the quality of dental treatment in his community and throughout Maine. He has been an active member of the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, The McGrath Pond Salmon Lake Association (MPSLA), and Waterville's Community Dental Center. He has also spent time as a board member, vice president, and president of the Maine Academy of General Dentistry, and editor of The Pine Tree General Practitioner. He has also been secretary/treasurer of the Kennebec Valley Dental Society, a local branch of the Maine Dental Association. Currently, Dr. Weitecha and his younger partner, Dr. Joe Dumont, are co-chairs for the Maine AGD continuing education programs through which they promote first-rate continuing education courses every year.

Dr. Weitecha discovered his interest in dentistry at a young age. After graduating high school, he spent time working in the orthodontic practice run by his friend's father. He graduated from the University of San Diego in 1996 with a degree in biology. Dr. Weitecha then went on to Tufts School of Dental Medicine where he earned his dental degree. He completed a five-week externship in Togus, Maine, with the Veterans Association Hospital and fell in love with the state, deciding that one day he would open his practice there.

After graduating, Dr. Weitecha earned Mastership and Fellowship awards from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). He earned a Fellowship award from the International Congress of Implantology (ICOI). When he is not working with patients in the office or volunteering at the many organizations he is a part of, Dr. Weitecha attends continuing education programs that keep him current with the latest dental discoveries. He has completed programs with The Misch Implant Institute, The Dawson Academy, The New England Mastertrack, and Spear Education. He trained with Dr. Laliberte before becoming a mentor himself for Dr. Vayanos and Dr. Dumont.

Dr. Jeff Bue is a general dentist specializing in a variety of dental procedures including bridges, implants, emergency extractions, periodontal treatments, root canals, crowns, grafting procedures, and dentures. After earning his dental degree from the University of Michigan in 2017, he completed advanced training in dental implants and sedation dentistry, allowing him to help patients with dental anxieties who might not be able to receive dental care otherwise. Dr. Huy Nguyen was born in the United States but was raised primarily in Germany. For completion of his higher education, Dr. Nguyen decided to attend the University of Washington in Seattle to earn his Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then attended Boston University to earn his Masters in Oral Health Sciences and Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry. Today, he is a practicing dentist in the beautiful state of Maine.

Dr. Jonathan Nutt, often referred to as Dr. J, takes pleasure in the personal side of dentistry. He devotes time every day to getting to know his patients, believing that a strong personal bond is essential to top-quality dentistry. Dr. J hopes to make every dental visit an enjoyable one. Whether he is numbing his patient’s gums or completing a restoration, Dr. J’s work is careful, gentle, and compassionate as he ensures that his patient's needs and concerns are always being met.

Dr. J earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Rivier University. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2018 from the University of New England and became a board-certified general dentist. While in school, Dr. J fell in love with the beautiful state of Maine and its people. He opened Integrity Dental upon graduating and continues to practice there today.

Dr. Kevin Lukas completed his dental training at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. There he acted as Class President and student-faculty liaison to negotiate curriculum development and grading policy. While in school he also served on the university’s digital radiography implementation committee and was Vice President of the student chapter of the American Association of Endodontists.

After graduating, Dr. Lukas began his life as a practicing dentist. However, he didn’t always know that dentistry was his calling. Dr. Lukas earned his undergraduate degree in art and biology from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota. He graduated in 1994 and then began a successful career as a representative for several dental technology device manufacturers. He spent his time training dentists around the country to use advanced dental equipment including digital radiography, surgical microscopes, and dental lasers. His career was fruitful, but something was missing.

His career gave him a great appreciation for dental technologies, but it was missing a human touch. He eventually recognized that working one-on-one with patients was his passion. He went back to school immediately to earn his dental degree. Today, Dr. Lukas enjoys working with patients of all ages and finds the combination of art and science especially interesting.
