Dr. Melissa Liao’s passion in life is helping others. As a dentist, she has volunteered her skills and services internationally on missionary trips and has provided free dental care to people in Haiti and Honduras. Dr. Liao grew up in Taiwan. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2016 at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. After completing her education, she moved to Hawaii and has stayed there since.

Dr. Kathleen Cruz went to the University of California Los Angeles to earn her Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies. She earned her Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry from Tufts University, then went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Dr. Eric Muraoka has always had a passion for technology. As a dentist, he loves learning about modern dental techniques and equipment. He is particularly interested in 3D printing and digital dental manufacturing. This led to him opening his own dental laboratory that creates high-quality dental prosthetics for dentists around the country. With his lab, Dr. Muraoka can ensure that his patients receive only the best dental prosthetics. He has also been able to help his community by printing PPE and over 10,000 face shields which he donated during the pandemic.

Dr. Muraoka attended the Iolani School, then went to Lewis and Clark College where he earned his Bachelor's in Chemistry. He earned his Doctorate in Dental medicine from Oregon Health and Sciences University. After completing his education, he became the owner and lead General Dentist of Kaizen Dental Center. Honolulu Magazine voted him one of Hawaii's Best Dentists.

Dr. John T. Wu is an active member of the Richard V. Tucker Study Club, the Honolulu Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. He earned his BS in Biology at Boston College. He went to the University of Pennsylvania to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1997, then went on to complete his dental residency program in 1998 at the Queen’s Medicinal Center in Honolulu.

Dr. Declan Devereux has been voted one of Honolulu’s top dentists for the last five years. His approach to dentistry follows the Golden Rule: treat people like you want to be treated. He believes that his patients deserve the best dental care possible. He graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder before earning his dental degree from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. When he is not working with his patients, Dr. Devereux volunteers at Aloha Medical Mission, Dentistry for the Disabled, and Give Back a Smile.

Dr. Bogdan C. Rosala was voted as one of America's Top Dentists by Honolulu Magazine. He graduated in 1989 from Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University Frankfurt. He worked as an associate with Dr. Klaus P. Gross for two years before opening his own practice where he worked for the next 15 years. During this time, he became specialized in Implant Dentistry, Laser Dentistry, Same Day Dentistry, Comprehensive Cosmetic Dentistry, and CAD/CAM. In 1991, he completed his first Implant Surgery. Soon after, he invested in his first Dental Laser.

While being a practicing dentist, Dr. Rosala earned his Doctorate in Dentistry in 1992 as well as a Diploma in Acupuncture from the German Academy for Acupuncture and Auriculomedicine and a Diploma in Naturopathic Medicine. After moving to Hawaii, he passed the American National Boards I and II in 1999 and the Hawaii State Dental License Exam in 2001.

Dr. Cedric Lewis is the only dentist in Hawaii, and one of only 12 dentists in the country, to be chosen by the American Dental Association Institute for Diversity in Leadership. He was also voted by Honolulu Magazine as one of Hawaii’s Best Dentists through 2008 to 2015. From 2003 to 2021, he was voted Best Dentist in Honolulu Magazine. Dr. Lewis eanrned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Oregon Health Sciences University. His education provided him with extensive training in anesthesia & pain control, esthetics & implants, cosmetic dentistry, and the diagnosis and treatment of TMJ disorders.

When Dr. Lewis is not working at his practice, he is volunteering for Kokua Kalihi Valley Comprehensive Family Services, a dental center with a mentorship program that he helped start for disadvantaged kids. He is also a member of the Hawaii Terry Tanaka Dental Study Group for prosthodontics.
