Dr. Bart Samuelson, a proud South Dakota native, graduated from Philip High School in 1989. He embraced his love for dentistry by attending the University of South Dakota, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene in 1993. After spending seven years as a Dental Hygienist in Rapid City, his desire to enhance his community service and advance his career led him to the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. While in dental school, she chose to serve in the United States Air Force and was selected for an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. During this intensive year-long program, she trained under specialists across various dental fields.

In 2008, Dr. Friedman was stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base, where she further honed her skills in multiple aspects of dentistry. She played a key role in helping the clinic achieve an outstanding rating from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), notably being handpicked by the Dental Flight Commander to demonstrate her proficiency in IV sedation and impacted wisdom tooth extractions.

He has also served as president of the Black Hills District Dental Society and was honored as South Dakota’s “Young Dentist of the Year” in 2014.

As a father of six, Dr. Carpenter has a special affinity for family dentistry and excels at making dental visits quick and efficient for children. At home, he and Allison share their lives with two dogs and enjoy camping, lake outings, hiking, cooking, reading, music, and volunteering together.
