It has been said that if you stretched Wisconsin’s 7,446 miles of streams and rivers end to end, they could circle the globe at the equator. In addition, the state also boasts five state parks and over 250 miles of shoreline along Lake Michigan. Wisconsin’s impressive natural beauty is just one of the state’s many wonders, and only one reason why residents and tourists alike love the Badger State. Now, families have even more reason to love Wisconsin with direct dental plans from Doctors Network. Offered directly through dentists’ offices in Wisconsin, direct dental plans can help the state’s over 5.7 million residents save on all of their dental health care costs. Because the plan works separately from insurance, patients are eligible to join whether or not they already have existing coverage.

With less than 6.6% of people in Wisconsin uncovered by insurance, Wisconsin’s uninsured population is lower than most other states. Yet, even with insurance, many patients are surprised to learn that their coverage doesn’t adequately cover many of the treatments they need or want. Some plans leave people with high out-of-pocket expenses that they cannot afford, rendering the insurance plan useless. With Doctors Network, there are no surprises. The plan covers every treatment that your dentist offers, and follows a predetermined fee schedule that does not change without notice. Regular checkup and cleaning appointments are only $25 per visit, including X-rays, while other treatments (such as fillings, root canal therapy, dental crowns, implants, and more) will always be discounted, sometimes by up to 90%. Everyone can qualify for a direct dental plan regardless of age or the state of their current dental health.

I am a patient of Dr. Rehman’s and I have been for years. I don’t think I could ever go to anyone else. Everyone here is so personable and I feel like I am welcomed every time I go. Doctor Rehman is a pro, and stays up to date with all the modern practices, and for this I am confident I will always be very well taken care of. All the questions I ask them are well answered and honest replies too. I recommend everyone in Milwaukee, if you are looking for a place that will treat you well, like you are old best friends even, then Bright Dental is that place.

I really dread going to the dentist. My old dentist used to scold me for not flossing routinely. Then he’d tip me back in the chair and poke at my gums until it hurt, and he never suctioned out my saliva. Definitely not a good experience. Because of that, I actually stopped going to the dentist altogether for a few years, but I knew I had to go see someone. That new dentist turned out to be Dr. Pusateri, and I actually had a great appointment! It’s hard to believe I have something positive to say about a dentist, but he was incredible! So smart and welcoming, and he never stabbed me in the gums once! His office staff is also kind and competent. Highly recommend Mark D Pusateri DDS in Palatine, IL!

I went to Jeffrey E Riesberg DDS because my fiance comes here, and as soon as I walked in, I knew this was my new dental home. Plus, they are really close to my house in Highland Park, IL. The receptionist is so considerate and hilarious, and everyone makes you feel so comfortable even if you’re there for a stressful procedure. They did a cleaning for me, and I booked another appointment to get a crown. Dr. Riesberg worked really quickly, and I never even felt the novocaine shot. They cemented in my crown really fast, and before I knew it, I was walking out the door. Everyone’s so sociable, and the atmosphere is so soothing. You can tell they all love their jobs. Thank you everyone for a fantastic experience - I’m really grateful for your kindness. Thanks for assisting me with my dental problems!

I went in for my first cleaning with Dr. Amante today, and I can’t wait to come back! This place is awesome. I brought my 2 year old daughter in to introduce her to the dentist and get her ready for her first visit. My daughter is shy and doesn’t really like meeting new people, but Dr. Amante was gentle with her and got her relaxed enough that he even got a quick examination in. I’m very happy with this dentist office near me, and so was my daughter.

I thought I had a gum infection (I cut myself on a popcorn kernel), so I called Winnetka Dental Care. They squeezed me in that day even though I was a new patient. Dr. Raghian found a splinter in my gums that had been there a while and that was causing the pain and irritation. When he took it out, I instantly felt so much better. They didn’t make me wait long in the waiting room, and as soon as I filled out my new patient paperwork, they sat me in the dentist chair. I’m pretty confident I just discovered my family’s new dentist in Winnetka, IL!

Can scaling and root planing help me reverse gum disease?

b
brush-whisperer-151

In many cases, gingivitis can be reversed with scaling and root planing (known as deep cleaning) and a strict routine of good hygiene and preventative dental care. However, if the condition progresses into periodontitis, then it might no longer be reversible, and will have to be controlled through regular periodontal maintenance.

What is scaling/root planing (Deep Cleaning)?

f
fluoride-achiever-2

Gingivitis marks the beginning of periodontal disease, and describes inflammation in the gums caused by excessive oral bacteria buildup (in the form of plaque and tartar). Because gingivitis occurs underneath the gums, routine dental cleaning won’t suffice to treat it. Scaling and root planing, also known as deep cleaning, involves removing plaque and tartar from above and below the gum line. Then, your periodontist will smooth the roots of your teeth underneath the gums to discourage further oral bacteria buildup. As plaque and tartar accumulate on the roots, the buildup and resulting inflammation cause your gum tissues to recede slightly from your teeth. This creates deepening periodontal pockets where oral bacteria can continue to gather and multiply, worsening the infection and inflammation. Periodontal cleaning helps stop the infection by removing the films of plaque and tartar from your roots (scaling), and then smoothing their surfaces (planing) to inhibit bacterial buildup as your gums heal. In cases where gum disease has already developed, scaling and root planing should be followed by a strict schedule of checkups, cleanings, and periodontal maintenance. Your periodontist can prescribe appropriate treatment options, such as gingival grafting or pocket reduction surgery, to fortify your compromised tissues so you can recover from gum disease.

It was so easy to find a doctor and make an appointment. I didn't have to take hours to call different offices and find out who takes my insurance and who doesn't.

I'm a freelancer, so I can't buy insurance easily, so I always ended up paying a lot for doctors' visits. I signed up for a Doctors Network dental plan, and my dental cleanings cost only $25 now. If you don't have dental insurance I highly recommend it.

I fell off my bike and chipped my front tooth. I was able to find and book an appointment online right away. Next time I need an appointment I'll try Doctors Network again.
