After completing his education, he proudly served as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force. During his time as an Air Force Major, Dr. Blackmon delivered exceptional dental care to military personnel around the world, playing a key role in ensuring the health and readiness of our nation’s finest. His advanced training as part of the Air Force Dental Corps helped him provide specialized care while supporting military missions globally.

Following his graduation, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy Dental Corps. During his military service, Dr. Bringhurst completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program, deployed with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and served at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, providing care for wounded service members. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and has pursued advanced training in endodontics, oral surgery, and periodontics through numerous postdoctoral courses.
