Dr. Low met Dr. von Bulow in 2019 at an Invisalign CE Course in San Jose, CA. This course was one of the most prestigious advanced Invisalign education programs for general dentists, with attendees selected by their peers and handpicked by the course director. Dr. Low, excited and nervous, found himself seated next to Dr. von Bulow, who was a chapter president and invited him to join his group. Dr. von Bulow’s infectious energy and enthusiasm made a lasting impression on Dr. Low, and the two stayed in contact through WhatsApp, a vital connection during the challenging times of 2020.

Dr. Low’s journey into dentistry was an unconventional one. Initially working in the import/export industry, he realized he wasn’t fulfilled and sought a career in healthcare. Dr. Thang Vi Duong holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology, and Natural Science from Bethel College and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. Passionate about education and giving back to the community, Dr. Duong has previously served as a faculty member at USC School of Dentistry. He is currently a treating dentist at the San Gabriel Valley Foundation for Dental Health, a non-profit organization dedicated to offering dental care to underserved children in the area.

Dr. Jay M. Azling is a proud Southern California native, originally from Orange County. After graduating from Canyon High School in 1980, he attended the University of California, Davis, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with honors, along with a Minor in Psychology. In 1988, Dr. Azling graduated from the esteemed UCLA School of Dentistry with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS)—a milestone he fondly marks, despite the rivalry with Trojan fans!

Dr. Azling launched his dental career in Cerritos in 1988, initially working as an Associate Dentist under the mentorship of Dr. Chris Martin. The pair became partners in 1991 and enjoyed a successful collaboration for 17 years until Dr. Martin’s retirement in 2005. Since then, Dr. Azling has continued serving the Cerritos community with a focus on family dentistry, as well as cosmetic and rehabilitative care. He has further honed his skills through advanced training at the renowned Las Vegas and Seattle Institutes for Advanced Dental Education.

Always looking for ways to enhance patient experiences, Dr. Azling embraces the latest dental technologies and state-of-the-art materials, striving to make every visit more comfortable and enjoyable. Dr. Ethan Park’s journey to dentistry began in his early years, growing up in South Korea and Argentina, where he became involved in his family’s garment business. From a young age, he learned the value of hard work and dedication. While attending college, Dr. Park and his sister took on the responsibility of running the family business, managing the daily operations while still pursuing his dream of becoming a dentist. He attributes much of his success to the support of his team, who believed in him and helped him balance both responsibilities. Dr. Todd Bringhurst graduated *magna cum laude* with his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the UNLV School of Dental Medicine. Following his graduation, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy Dental Corps. During his military service, Dr. Bringhurst completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program, deployed with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and served at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, providing care for wounded service members. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and has pursued advanced training in endodontics, oral surgery, and periodontics through numerous postdoctoral courses.

He frequently volunteers his dental services through various medical and dental relief organizations and has participated in numerous mobile dental clinics, including Remote Area Medical, Care Harbor LA, and CDA Cares.

Dr. Toni Chen is excited to serve the community that has always been her home. Raised in San Marino and Arcadia, she graduated from Arcadia High School before continuing her education at UCLA, where she worked as a dental assistant and contributed to research that was published. During her time at UCLA, she also volunteered with community programs that supported inner-city children in academics, which inspired her love for working with kids.

Dr. Chen went on to pursue her dental education at USC, followed by two years of pediatric specialty training at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. After completing her training, she eagerly returned to her hometown to begin private practice.

Outside of the office, Dr. Chen enjoys spending her weekends at the farmer’s market, biking along the Santa Monica Pier, playing tennis, and hiking the scenic trails around Santa Anita. She loves to travel, with recent adventures including white-water rafting with family and friends, as well as trips to Rome, Florence, Paris and Sienna. Despite her love for travel, her greatest joy is returning to work each week, where she looks forward to making a positive impact on her patients’ lives.

Dr. Compean is an avid golfer, and he enjoys skiing with his family at Mammoth and fly fishing in the Sierras. He is also an enthusiastic hiker, having successfully hiked to the top of Mt. Whitney in just one day—a 22-mile round trip with a 6,000-foot elevation gain. His adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors are as present in his personal life as they are in his professional life, where he constantly strives for excellence and new challenges.

Dr. Jelani Winslow has always had a passion for creating and building. Upon discovering dentistry, he found a unique opportunity to combine his scientific knowledge with his artistic talents. His interest in the field blossomed during his time volunteering at dental offices while attending the University of California, Berkeley, which ultimately guided him to Temple University in Philadelphia for dental school. After earning his dental degree, Dr. Winslow returned to the West Coast to complete a General Practice Residency at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital in Downey, CA. He then spent over a decade working at the East Valley Community Health Center in West Covina, CA, where he provided essential care to underserved communities. Despite the fulfillment he found in this role, he harbored a long-time aspiration to open his own practice. In August 2019, Dr. Winslow realized that dream when he acquired Whittier Palm Dental in Montebello. When he’s not treating patients in Montebello, Whittier, or Pico Rivera, Dr. Winslow enjoys traveling, running 5K and 10K races, experimenting with electronic projects and 3D printing, and giving back to the community through volunteer work and sharing his dental expertise.
