I already love Dr. Morrison, even though I haven’t been coming here for very long. I’ve had a lot of problems with the previous dentist in Richmond, so it was nice to go to a dentist who listens to me. Dr. Morrison has given me some great advice on how to fix those mistakes and improve my dental care for the future. The staff here at Family Dentistry is kind and knowledgeable. They make going to the dentist enjoyable. The office has the latest technology and is always clean. They can have a crown done in 8 minutes thanks to the technology they have. Anyone in need of dental work should come here.

I wish I could give Family Dentistry 20 stars! They finally fixed my tooth problems. The first dentist I went to in Richmond told me I needed a root canal after I went to him for tooth pain, and even though I was desperate for relief, I’m glad I got a second opinion. Had I sprung for the root canal, it would have been an awful experience, so listen to your instincts when something doesn’t feel right! No one wants to feel like just another number. I went to Family Dentistry twice - once for an examination appointment and then a cleaning - in just a few weeks’ time. Their patient care is spot on - very caring and committed to finding the real reason for my tooth pain. After a few X-rays and pictures, they realized that my tooth was fractured. A root canal wouldn’t have solved my problem because it needed to be extracted and replaced with an implant. Dr. Morrison referred me to an oral surgeon, who did a great job. I’m so grateful for the incredible experts (dentists, hygienists, and receptionists) at this office! They were so intelligent and sweet, so it’s no wonder this business is thriving! Thank you everyone, and I’ll see you again soon! Support this local business!

dental-implants-or-bridge

As adolescents, we lose our deciduous teeth as a natural part of growing up. However, as adults, losing teeth is caused by oral health issues. Periodontal disease leads to major tooth loss. Since losing teeth at this age isn’t natural, this means issues with smile stability. You could have difficulties eating. Problems talking could occur. Finally, you could risk damages to your smile, or even smile’s stability. You need a skilled in-network dentist in The Museum District, VA who can replace missing teeth. Fortunately, Doctors Network can help you on the road to a full smile.

First, we will connect you to a dedicated dentist in your location who accepts your insurance. After that, your new dentist can evaluate your smile to assess your missing teeth. For minor cases, a dental bridge could be the best option, addressing one to three lost teeth in a row. For several missing teeth, partials could offer a solution and rebuild your smile. Finally, a complete set of dentures could be custom-made. While most fulls and partials are removable, they could be secured with multiple dental implants. Dental implants essentially look and function like natural teeth, and preserve bone density in your jawbones and facial structure following losing a tooth.

If you live in the The Museum District area and have lost your natural teeth, let us help. We can get you started on receiving a dental prosthetic. A full smile is possible, even if you’ve suffered edentulism, and even if many years have gone by since that happened!

P. S. Please applaud our dental professionals in Nashville, TN with us this week.

sleep-apnea-treatment

When you have chronic snoring, you may not assume a dentist near you could help. But in fact, dentists can provide a non-invasive solution to treat sleep apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a condition in which when you sleep, the soft tissues in the throat and the back of your mouth collapse and cut off airflow. Patients literally stop breathing for a few seconds until the brain notices a drop in oxygen. Even if you believe you slept well, you’re actually sleep deprived! But when is it necessary to use the search tool on Doctors Network and find The Museum District, VA dentists who provide treatment options?

Signs and symptoms of OSA could include chronic snoring. Daytime headaches, drowsiness, and even irritability could occur too. Without intervention, sleep apnea could impact your immune system and heart health. When you notice similar symptoms, consider seeing a dental professional. Often, oral appliance therapy can be used as a CPAP alternative, so you can finally sleep comfortably.

This week we are celebrating our dental care providers in Manhattan, NY.

You can’t put a price on an attractive smile, but as we get older, most of us struggle with the loss of natural teeth. Missing teeth could lead to difficulty with eating and speaking, and can even lead to bone loss in the jaw. To treat tooth loss, people often turn to implant-supported prosthetics. Unlike traditional options, such as dentures or bridges, these are connected to posts inserted into your jaw. Crowns or even prosthetics like bridges are securely attached to these implant posts. These then act as new roots, so your new teeth can last not ten years, but possibly a lifetime with proper care.

Are you ready to address unsightly gaps with dental implants? If you want to know how much a dental implant costs near The Museum District, you are not alone, but firstly, you should find a The Museum District dentist who can offer prosthetic dentistry. Doctors Network’s search tool can help you with this, connecting you to a dental office who not only can address your concerns about missing teeth, but also works with walk-in patients. Same-day appointments are usually available. You can even register for a Doctors Network dental plan to decrease the cost of your procedure.

The dentist will carefully examine your smile. Underlying issues like gum disease may need to be treated before moving forward. But once completed, your dental implants will offer replacement teeth that look and function like natural dentition!

Virginia isn’t just one of the 13 original colonies; it is home to the first English settlement in the New World, Jamestown. Not long after, Virginia also saw the end of the American Revolution with the surrender of Cornwallis at Yorktown. With its close proximity to the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., more Virginians today work for the government than any other industry, equaling about a quarter of the state’s population. Nevertheless, out of the state’s 8.4 million residents, over 10% do not have insurance, which can make keeping up with routine dental care difficult and expensive. That’s why Doctors Network has teamed up with dentists across the Old Dominion State to provide patients with more affordable direct dental plans. Whether you have insurance or not, a direct dental plan guarantees that you can receive the high-quality of care you deserve while paying significantly reduced prices.
