Following graduation, Dr. Ham completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas, where he served as Chief Resident. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years, achieving the rank of Captain and later becoming the Chief of Clinical Dentistry at Edwards Air Force Base in California. He currently holds a position as an Air Force Reservist.

Dr. Ham is a member of several professional organizations, including the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Contra Costa Dental Society. He resides in Concord with his wife, Dr. Tiffany H. Ham, and their daughter, Zoey. The family enjoys traveling, snowboarding, and spending time with loved ones. Dr. Ham is also fluent in Cantonese.
