Post-graduation, Dr. Leary joined the U.S. Army and, after moving to Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, completed a one-year Dental Residency Program. She served as an army dentist in Ft. Meade, Maryland, and Wurzburg, Germany, for four years, gaining irreplaceable insights and skills that help her in her career to this day.

In 1995, Dr. Leary opened her private practice in Gambrills. She opened her current office in 2000 and has been watching it grow ever since. When Dr. Leary is not in the office, she can be found volunteering her services to the less fortunate through Donated Dental programs, the House of Hope Homeless Shelter, and the Department of Aging.
