He put this passion on hold after making the move to the United States, choosing to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering instead. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Houston, he worked as an electrical engineer for a few years but quickly realized that dentistry was his true calling. Dr. Nguyen is a dentist at Heritage Dental in Katy, TX, and I must say, he’s truly incredible! He will not try to talk you into work you don’t need, and he’s attentive and careful. His staff is very warm and clearly good at what they do. It took me years to find a dentist who didn’t try to talk me into getting a deep cleaning. Since those aren’t covered by my dental insurance, I didn’t want it, but a few dentists insisted. I went along with it, but it left me with yellow, pitted teeth. After looking at my teeth, Dr. Nguyen questioned why they ever wanted to do a deep cleaning to begin with. Though the other dentists damaged my teeth, he told me he would make my smile as good as new. And after about a half hour of brushing and scraping, my teeth looked white again!
