Dr. Yi then went on to receive her DDS degree from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.

Recently, the Yi family welcomed two guinea pigs—Hazelnut and Popcorn—into their home.

An avid supporter of the SF Giants and Warriors, Dr. Yi is also passionate about her local community, actively serving at her church in Fremont.

Dr. Defaii earned his Biochemistry degree (Magna Cum Laude) from California State University in San Francisco, where he received The Outstanding Academic Achievement Award and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.

He then obtained his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California, graduating with multiple honors, including The Dental Ambassador Award and the Certificate of Merit from the American Society of Dentistry for Children.

In 1989, Dr. Defaii founded his own dental practice, driven by a commitment to providing advanced, comprehensive, and compassionate care. Dr. Schmidt attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Dr. Schmidt has been a part of Alameda Family Dental Practice since 2004. He also served as the dental director at Sonrisas Community Clinic in Half Moon Bay, California, and taught at the University of the Pacific Dental School for several years. Dr. Terlet is well-regarded within the dental community at the local, state, and national levels, maintaining active memberships in the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, American College of Dentists, NNOHA, and more. Dr. Terlet applies the same philosophy in her private practice, where she believes every patient deserves individualized care and personalized treatment plans. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Terlet has served as the Chief Dental Officer at La Clínica since 1989. In this role, she has played a key part in expanding dental services from one clinic to eleven locations across Alameda, Contra Costa, and Solano counties. As Chief Dental Officer, Dr. Terlet oversees the strategic direction and management of dental operations, ensuring alignment with La Clínica’s mission. She leads senior dental management in strategic growth, manages the office's budget and finances, and collaborates with other health agencies to advance the organization’s objectives. Dr. Terlet earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of California, Berkeley.
