Dr. Kevin P. Valle has been practicing dentistry since 1988. He began his work with his identical twin brother in Annapolis, Maryland. In 2007, he moved to South Portland, ME, to join Progressive Dental Care where he has been practicing ever since.

Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Valle earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola College of Baltimore where he also earned a ranking in the TriBeta Biological Honor Society. He graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, the first dental school in the world, in 1988. He was a part of the first group of dental graduates in the country to complete a new type of clinical training, which then became a prototype for dental schools across the world.

After graduating and opening his practice, Dr. Valle worked hard to become a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He continues to attend society meetings today. In 1998, Dr. Petrarca returned to the Boston area and spent nearly five years practicing in a private pediatric dental office. He joined Children's Dental Associates in 2003, where he has been providing specialized care ever since. A committed member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Massachusetts Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association, Dr. Petrarca is also dedicated to education. Dr. Pei-Yun Kao was born in Taiwan and raised in California. She completed her B.S. in Human Physiology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), before earning her D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Kao worked as a dental assistant and front office coordinator, which sparked her interest in pursuing a career in dentistry. She found her passion for the profession by observing the ways it blends art, science, and health, and has since dedicated herself to improving both oral and overall health through patient care and creating lasting smiles.

At UCLA, Dr. Kao was awarded a full scholarship and was part of the Academic Advancement Program. During her time at Tufts, she excelled in clinical training and volunteered extensively, including working as an extern at the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, where she treated underserved populations. She also volunteered in the Tufts Sleep/TMD clinic and was an active member of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA), serving as an elected representative and delegate for four years. Her leadership efforts contributed to programs focused on dental advocacy, health and wellness, career development, and community outreach. She was honored as the ASDA National Delegate of the Year for her dedication.

Dr. Lawlor has always enjoyed going to the dentist. From a young age, he knew that he wanted to help others have the same positive dental experiences he did, and opening his own dental practice was the best way to do it.
