He went on to Brandeis University, earning a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1957. From 1958 to 1962, Dr. Conti pursued a unique dual education, studying voice at the New England Conservatory of Music while simultaneously earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. During this time, he also worked as a biologist in the Cancer Research Department at Tufts Medical Center, conducting steroid screenings on a National Institutes of Health Grant and co-authoring several research papers.

Dr. Conti is deeply committed to the dental profession and has been an active member of various dental organizations. He is a past president of the East Middlesex District Dental Society and has served on the Massachusetts Dental Society, including as Chair of the Liaison Committee of Dental Auxiliaries. Dr. Conti has also been deeply involved in community service. In 1971, he helped found Project Triangle, a vocational rehabilitation program for individuals with disabilities. The program began in a small, abandoned church in Malden with just five clients and one staff member. Dr. Conti served as the first President of the Board of Directors for 15 years and remained on the board for another 20 years. Today, Triangle, Inc. serves over 3,000 individuals annually and has grown to include North and South Shore facilities, 10 community residences, and a budget of approximately $20 million.

In addition to his work with Triangle, Dr. Conti has served as a member of the Board of Governors at Tufts Medical Center for more than 10 years. He has also been a dedicated member and current Moderator of the Maplewood Baptist Church in Malden for over 65 years.

After graduating, Dr. Lukas began his life as a practicing dentist. However, he didn’t always know that dentistry was his calling. Dr. Lukas earned his undergraduate degree in art and biology from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota. He graduated in 1994 and then began a successful career as a representative for several dental technology device manufacturers. He spent his time training dentists around the country to use advanced dental equipment including digital radiography, surgical microscopes, and dental lasers. She completed her B.S. in Human Physiology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), before earning her D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Kao worked as a dental assistant and front office coordinator, which sparked her interest in pursuing a career in dentistry. She found her passion for the profession by observing the ways it blends art, science, and health, and has since dedicated herself to improving both oral and overall health through patient care and creating lasting smiles.

At UCLA, Dr. Kao was awarded a full scholarship and was part of the Academic Advancement Program. During her time at Tufts, she excelled in clinical training and volunteered extensively, including working as an extern at the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, where she treated underserved populations. She also volunteered in the Tufts Sleep/TMD clinic and was an active member of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA), serving as an elected representative and delegate for four years.
