Before becoming a mother, Dr. Yi enjoyed hobbies like playing badminton, snowboarding, traveling, and, of course, indulging in great food. Today, her free time is centered around her two children, Kara and Brandon. They love playing board games, building with Legos, and jamming to a mix of Taylor Swift, K-pop, and praise & worship songs. Recently, the Yi family welcomed two guinea pigs—Hazelnut and Popcorn—into their home.

An avid supporter of the SF Giants and Warriors, Dr. Yi is also passionate about her local community, actively serving at her church in Fremont.

Dr. Yi is eager to get to know her patients beyond just their dental care routines. She looks forward to learning about their passions and interests and is excited to meet them soon!

Dr. Weisman was born in Philadelphia, but due to his father’s military career, he moved frequently throughout his childhood. As one of four siblings, his family’s adventures made for a lively upbringing, and their annual reunions remain a cherished tradition. After living on military bases in Virginia and Germany, the family eventually settled in South Carolina before moving to Chicago.

Dr. Weisman attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 1979 to 1983, where he earned a degree in Biology while also competing on the university's Big 10 Fencing team. He continued his education at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago, graduating in 1987. Following dental school, Dr. Weisman completed his residency at Mt. Zion Hospital in San Francisco, where he was honored to serve as chief resident in his second year. During this time, he mentored first-year residents and specialized in areas such as hospital dentistry, geriatric care, and operating room procedures.

In 2004, Dr. Weisman brought together two established dental practices in Fremont, California, creating a strong, unified practice focused on patient care. He believes in open, transparent communication with his patients, empowering them to make informed decisions about their treatment. To support this, his office utilizes advanced technologies, including digital x-rays, intraoral cameras, and specialized software, all designed to enhance patient education and treatment planning.

A distinctive aspect of Dr. Weisman's practice is his service to the Deaf community. He and his team have made a dedicated effort to learn American Sign Language (ASL) through courses at Ohlone College, which has enabled them to better communicate with Deaf patients and understand Deaf culture.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Weisman enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, whether biking, hiking, or camping. He’s a proud dog owner, with his Maltese poodle, Lily, being a particularly beloved companion. Dr. Weisman is also committed to environmental sustainability, making eco-friendly choices such as using compostable bags in his dental office to reduce plastic waste. Above all, being a father is one of his greatest joys.

Dr. Defaii earned his Biochemistry degree (Magna Cum Laude) from California State University in San Francisco, where he received The Outstanding Academic Achievement Award and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.

He then obtained his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California, graduating with multiple honors, including The Dental Ambassador Award and the Certificate of Merit from the American Society of Dentistry for Children.

In 1989, Dr. Defaii founded his own dental practice, driven by a commitment to providing advanced, comprehensive, and compassionate care. His dedication to cosmetic dentistry is further reflected in his participation in a four-year study club at the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry, where he gained extensive expertise in the field. He continually seeks to expand his knowledge and skills in dentistry.

Dr. Defaii is known for his personalized approach, taking the time to understand his patients' concerns and thoroughly discussing the best treatment options. He prioritizes comfort and quality care in every interaction.

Dr. Henry Diep, a dentist in Hayward, believes every day presents an opportunity to positively impact his patients' lives, and he never takes this responsibility lightly. Through his work, he helps people find relief from pain, restore their confidence, and prevent costly dental problems in the future. Having experienced firsthand the profound and lasting effects dentistry can have, Dr. Diep is excited to use his skills to ensure his patients look and feel their best for years to come.

Dr. Diep first considered dentistry during high school, but it wasn't until college that he fully committed to the profession. His decision was solidified when he volunteered at a mobile clinic in Oakland, CA, where he witnessed hundreds of people waiting for hours to receive free dental care. That experience inspired him to pursue dentistry as a way to give back to the community that shaped him.

Dr. Diep began his college journey at San Francisco State University, followed by a post-baccalaureate program at Cal State University-East Bay. He then earned his dental degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. To stay current with the latest advancements in dentistry, Dr. Diep is an active member of the California Dental Association.

In October 2021, Dr. Diep married his wife, and together they share their lives with two beloved dogs— a Maltese/Shih Tzu mix and a Chihuahua/Russell Terrier mix. In his free time, he enjoys watching cooking shows, following food-related content on social media, and exploring new restaurants. If he weren't a dentist, Dr. Diep believes he would have likely become a chef. He also enjoys working out, traveling, and keeping up with his favorite teams, the Raiders and Golden State Warriors.

With a reputation for his gentle approach and near-painless techniques, Dr. Sicam has steadily grown his practice, largely through patient referrals, providing care for entire families.

Education and Professional Development
Dr. Sudeep graduated from the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 2000, ranking in the top five percent of her class and earning special recognition as a member of the Honors Society (Tau Kappa Omega). With a strong focus on cosmetic dentistry, she has pursued numerous advanced post-graduate courses at prestigious institutions, including the University of California at San Francisco, the University of the Pacific, UCLA, and USC. Dr. Sudeep is dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care by incorporating the latest advancements in dental technology.

The California Dental Board requires dentists in California to complete 50 hours of continuing education every two years to maintain their knowledge in the field. Dr. Sudeep surpasses this standard, having accrued over 200 hours of continuing education in the last two years.

Her studies concentrate on Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry and Neuromuscular Dentistry. She has also participated in a post-graduate training program at the renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, where she completed the "Advanced Functional Aesthetics" course taught by Dr. William Dickerson.

Dr. Allea Paras Torres graduated from the prestigious University of the Philippines, Manila, School of Dentistry, recognized as the top dental school in the Philippines. After completing her dental boards in the United States, she focused on expanding her expertise in cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Eric Schmidt was raised in Boulder, Colorado, and earned both his BA and MA degrees in biology and psychology from the University of Colorado in 1988 and 1991, respectively. After relocating to San Francisco, he worked in biotech research for several years before pursuing a career in dentistry. Dr. Schmidt attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Dr. Schmidt has been a part of Alameda Family Dental Practice since 2004. He also served as the dental director at Sonrisas Community Clinic in Half Moon Bay, California, and taught at the University of the Pacific Dental School for several years. His areas of interest include research on jaw joint disorders and providing care for both children and adults who experience dental anxiety. Dr. Schmidt is also a certified Invisalign provider. In 2014, Dr. Schmidt was president of the Alameda County Dental Society and served as a delegate to the California Dental Association for three years. Dr. Richard Robinson is a dedicated and experienced dentist serving the Santa Cruz community since 1991. Raised in Santa Cruz and a graduate of Harbor High School, Dr. Robinson went on to earn a B.S. in Biochemistry from UCLA and later received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Southern California (USC).

Since joining the Santa Cruz Dental Group, Dr. Robinson has built a reputation for offering comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages. Dr. Stella Kim is a proud graduate of the UCSF School of Dentistry and has been serving patients in San Francisco and the Bay Area since she began her dental career. Prior to entering the field of dentistry, she spent over ten years as a biomedical researcher in Los Angeles and San Diego, focusing on drug discovery and translational medicine. However, her desire to make a direct impact on people’s lives led her to transition to dentistry.

Dr. Kim actively participates in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the San Francisco Dental Society (SFDS), the California Dental Association (CDA), and the American Dental Association (ADA).

As an Invisalign preferred provider, she is committed to offering the latest orthodontic options to her patients. Dr. Ross Lai has been a dedicated dental professional for over 35 years. Since earning his degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1985, he has run a private general restorative practice in downtown San Francisco, with a strong focus on implant dentistry.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Lai has held an academic position at Highland Hospital's Oral Surgery Residency Program in Oakland. He was appointed by Governor Jerry Brown to the Dental Board of California in 2012, where he contributed as the Committee Chairman for Licensure and Certification. Dr. Lai also currently serves as a National Board Examiner.

He is an active member of the California Dental Association, the San Francisco Dental Society, the American Dental Association and the Academy of Osseointegration.
