He completed a residency program and soon went to the Universidad of Catalunya where he became a clinical director of research in periodontics. He completed his PhD in periodontal lasers, ran continuing education courses for dentists and hygienists, and also published more than 20 of his own research papers. Six years after this, Dr. Sanz moved back to the United States to work as an educator on surgical techniques and dental implantology at the Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Wang won the Case Presentation Award for Excellence in 2019 and was also recognized by the Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Today, she is a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), the Academy of Osseointegration, and the National Honor Dental Society. She is a Fellow with ITI and gives lectures for continuing education courses.

In 1989 she began working alongside her father in the practice he founded in 1967, Rosedale Dental.
