I’m a fairly new patient here, but I already love Dr. Aknouk. I’ve never had to wait, and when I had to bring my kids with me the team loves to keep them busy. Dr. Aknouk is kind and professional. He goes over my options with me going over the pros and cons of the different treatment plans. He also helped me figure out that I am allergic to certain crowns, which helped me get rid of my cold sensitivity. He is affordable and whenever I call about dental problems they’re able to get me in on the same day. I can’t recommend this place enough, especially if you need a dentist in the Bronx.

I hate going to the dentist and hadn’t been for a decade. But then I decided to go to Dr. Gross, and I’m so glad I did. The greatest dentist in the Bronx. The dental hygienist was kind and knowledgeable. She made me feel very comfortable, and I didn’t even tell her how much I hate the dentist. She made x-rays easy, and adjusted things when I told her I was in pain. She was easy to talk to and helped me understand everything that was going on. The dentist saw me before my cleaning, which I actually liked. He made me feel comfortable and a lot less anxious. I didn’t have to sit there and worry about if I had a cavity or not during the appointment. He checked right away. He was kind and fast. Thank you Dr. Gross and the staff.

If you’re like me, scheduling a dentist appointment can be stressful, but Dental Care Center in Bronx, NY made it so simple! I made the appointment online, but it turns out that that date was accidentally overbooked. They called me that same day to tell me about the mixup and asked if there was any other time that I wanted. They gave me a super early time, so that I didn’t even need to miss work. Once I arrived, there was virtually no wait time, and they were very quick and productive. They thoroughly explained what work I needed done on my teeth. I strongly recommend Dr. Singh!

Whether over the phone or in person, his staff is always so positive and kind. As soon as you walk into Dr. Vinjamur’s officei, you can feel the positive energy and amazing work ethic that he and his staff exude.

I thought my jaw may have been misaligned or that my teeth had been caving inward - things I thought were leading to me stretching my jaw. I believed the solution was something expensive like Invisalign or breaking my jaw somehow for realignment. It turned out I just needed a tooth resurfacing, which was the reason for my jaw issues! I went out to Dr. Borgella DDS initially because they had great reviews local to Bronx and offered Invisalign. What ended up happening was I saved a bunch of money and switched over to them with Dr. Borgella as my primary dentist! I'll be referring my fiancé to use them, in addition to all my friends and family. They are friendly, genuine, caring, and also offer great availability options for those that have tough work schedules. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

A co-worker recommended Dr. Yakobashvili and now I’ve been to only him for three years. Everyone who works here, and them, are kind and caring. I usually hate going to the dentist, but I don’t mind it now. Dr. Yakobashvili recently filled a cavity for me and it went great. They listened to my concerns when I told them that the numbing shot doesn’t work that well on me and that they would need to give the most they possibly could. I’m so glad I didn’t feel a thing. They gave me a blanket because I was cold, which I was very thankful for and nitrous oxide since it was my first time getting a cavity filled. I don’t know which helped more, the nitrous oxide or the deep breaths, but I left feeling very satisfied. I’m probably paying more than what I could be at some other place, but you really do get quality service here. Going cheap in the past didn’t work out for me.

A lot happens to our smile when we lose natural teeth. Obviously, there are problems with consuming solid foods. Even speaking clearly could be a problem. However, the major problem is the loss of structure in the jaw. This weakens the jaw, and could even cause a prematurely aged appearance. More importantly, this prevents dental implant placement. Additional treatments could be necessary to strengthen the jaw in order to make dental implant placement possible! Fortunately, Doctors Network could help you find a local Bronx oral surgeon who is in-network with Doctors Network Dental Plan and provides ridge augmentation. In addition, we could also discuss our membership program to make care affordable!

Jawbone grafting is also referred to as ridge augmentation. Essentially this enables the dentist to preserve the ridge in your gums. Your dentist could use a number of different options. Tissue could be taken from the back of the jaw or the hip. Donor materials such as freeze-dried bovine bone particles could be employed as well. Others recommend synthetic materials. During oral surgery, these are applied to the areas of weakened structure in the mandible bone.

Once the area heals, one or more dental implants could be placed. The body will accept them as natural roots. As a result, they help prevent any further breakdown in the jaw, protecting facial structure. Our team can connect you to a dentist or oral surgeon in Bronx, NY who offers ridge augmentation, and also let you know about our dental plan to make sure your treatment fits your budget!

If you have a toothache, or a tooth that is chipped, you need dental care. Otherwise, the tooth could develop caries and infections. Soon, there is a risk of not only tooth loss, but a spread of infection to other areas of the jaw. But sometimes, the damage or cavity is beyond the stage to be treated with a tooth filling. Instead, the tooth could require immediate extraction. At Doctors Network, our team can help you book an online appointment with a quality dentist or oral surgeon in Bronx, NY who can offer a gentle tooth extraction as needed.

As we discussed earlier, severe cavities or injury could be why a tooth needs extraction. But a dentist could also remove one that is loosened by periodontitis. Taking out a tooth could improve bite balance and chewing function. Extraction could also provide room for orthodontic treatment! In many cases, this could prevent complications from wisdom teeth. Removing wisdom teeth prior to eruption helps preserve the balance and smile beauty. For people with advanced tooth loss, removing the last few teeth essentially paves the way for a full prosthetic. Your Bronx dentist could use this to improve the health, function, and surprisingly, sometimes the appearance of your smile.

Now that you understand when a tooth may require removal, how do you seek care for one? Well, as mentioned above Doctors Network can find a great dental practice in the Bronx, NY area. But if you don’t have coverage, you may worry about the cost. Fortunately, we have a direct payment plan! Our dental membership plan is opened with an initial fee and maintained with a low monthly cost. For some, this could reduce the cost of care by up to 90 percent!

Tooth loss could lead to multiple complications for your smile. For example, this could impact your nutritional intake, or how clearly you can talk. But the most serious complication is the break down of structure in the jaw. The body reduces the flow of calcium and phosphate to the areas without tooth roots, which in turn causes bone loss and the loss of youthful facial structure and weakens the jaw significantly. Which means you may not be able to receive dental implants to address lost teeth. But Doctors Network can connect you with a dentist in Bronx, NY who can make smiles ready for implants.

As discussed in previous posts, a ridge augmentation procedure helps strengthen the mandible, so it can support dental implants. But what about the the upper area? Instead of adding new tissue, your Bronx dentist could perform a sinus lift. Basically, the dentist will raise the sinus floor to generate new support structure. The new structure can support your new implants. Once the new teeth are secured, this stimulates the growth of bone tissue to prevent further breakdowns. Your new teeth can then last for decades to come, possibly even a lifetime.

If you need to strengthen your weakened upper jawbone to support one or more dental implants, we could help. Our team can connect you with a Bronx, NY oral surgeon who can offer a sinus lift and takes new patients. When your smile is strengthened and ready, dental implants could provide a whole smile again. If you don’t have insurance, don’t let this stand between you and a complete smile. Instead, talk to our team about our financing option. With a monthly fee, you can have treatments discounted by as much as 90% in some situations. A full smile is in your future!

You probably know many people who have had their wisdom tooth extracted and are eager to divulge their experience to you. While this can be helpful, it is still essential to consult with a professional. If you need your wisdom teeth pulled, it is best to have a wide range of information at your disposal. This will help you understand what to expect from wisdom teeth removal and what you should expect from the dentist. Luckily, Doctors Network can help you connect with a great dentist near you in Bronx, NY that accepts new patients.

Wisdom teeth are located in the back of your mouth, and there is one on each quadrant. They typically appear between the ages of seventeen and twenty-five. Because wisdom teeth are the last adult teeth, their appearance can cause complications with your existing ones. They can erupt at unusual directions, only partially erupt, or overcrowd your current teeth. When this happens, they are probably going to be affected by harmful bacteria. If any of these conditions take place, it can be very uncomfortable and can damage your teeth. If you think you might have complications with wisdom teeth coming in, it is important to see a Bronx dentist or oral surgeon as soon as possible.

If you in fact need wisdom tooth removal, your dentist will determine how they will go about the procedure to ensure everything goes smoothly. They will decide which of your wisdom teeth need to be removed and how complex it will be. They will also determine the appropriate type of anesthesia and the position of your existing vital anatomy such as nerves. Once they ascertain these details, they can extract your wisdom teeth more easily. When you come in for the procedure, you will receive the appropriate sedation option, so you will not experience any pain. Your dentist will extract your teeth and look after you the entire time to make sure you are doing well. Once your wisdom teeth are pulled, you will receive post-surgery care instructions. Fortunately, there are many Bronx dentists that accept new patients and can effectively extract your wisdom teeth.

Have you ever noticed popping or crackling sound in the jaw? Do you have frequent headaches or jaw pain? If so, this could be related to a common but serious oral health issue. Around twenty-five million people in the United States suffer from TMJ disorder or bruxism. Without treatment, these could not only cause pain, but actually crack or chip a tooth! Fortunately, your friends at Doctors Network can find the right dental professional in Bronx, NY who accepts self-pay patients.

While very different from one another, one often increases the risk of the other. TMJ disorder develops when the joints connecting the jaw and skull are stressed. This could cause problems opening and closing the mouth fully. Common symptoms include pain in the jaw, head, and neck. Bruxism means you grind or clench your teeth nightly. The pressure of clenching could cause jaw pain and headaches. Teeth grinding could also fracture or break your teeth. This damage could lead to decay, infection, and more. Both disorders could be caused by issues that upset bite balance, and untreated TMJ disorder could cause bruxism, and vice-versa. When you have frequent discomfort in your head and neck, you should find help. We can even connect you with a dentist in Bronx who accepts self-pay patients.

Treatment options often vary; for some, relief is possible following dental bonding, which improves bite balance. For others, treating malocclusion with Invisalign could ease strain and stop symptoms. The most common option offered by most dentists is an oral splint, which fits like a nightguard. If you need to find treatment from a Bronx dentist. then contact our team!
